Somebody mentioned this afternoon that Paul Maurice just got fined $25,000 for criticizing the refs.

I looked at the game highlights and it sure looks like your old coach got screwed over. Talk about calling penalties to ensure one team's victory! Unreal!

Then I went to the Panthers website and there's all sorts of stuff that's pretty damning. They lay out the history between Maurice and the ref (Francois St. Laurent) and you have to wonder how this guy is still an official. Or why the NHL would allow him within a kilometre of the Panthers. Statistically, he's horribly biased. And then there's the video of Maurice in 2016 being ejected by St. Laurent after objecting to malicious hits only minutes apart on Ehlers and Little. The way the ref smirks afterwards it seems astounding that he'd ever be entrusted with a whistle again.

So, given all this happening this week, how will it impact on tonight's game against the Leafs?
That ref should have been fired years ago. His obvious issue with Maurice is pretty gross and must be well known to Bill Daly and The Count.

Maurice gets fined 25,000 for what he said but Bunting gets absolutely nothing for kicking a player, never change NHL .

One way to get Cole to shoot more is take away skilled players to pass to. There will be nothing fancy with Lowry and Big Sak.
I'd like to see more opportunities for Cole to take the puck to the net.
he's scored a couple of goals that way with that near horizontal angled attack at the net.
EA Sports 92 (original) cheat goal.
I'd post a GIF but can't find one and have to get out the door.

It will be interesting to see how many PP's the Leafs get cause as someone said they are a good team and good teams get more PP's. Oh but the Jets are in first place in their division, doesn't matter they are not a good team in the manner that the Leafs are.

Leafs are a very good team, and we will be in tough. Play like we did against Pitt and lose and I will be okay. Play like we did against Montreal and lose and I’ll be pissed.

Even better - play well and win.
