Hes a goalie. I dont care. Make a f***ing save. He puts us in a hole often.
He did make some saves. Big ones actually before the Cucks first goal. Some of those were lucky stops and blah blah blah, but regardless I saw some saves. I guess you’d hope for a save on that third one maybe. Yeah it’s Hughes, and yeah he did have time to pick a spot and lean into it, but it would have been nice to see a big stop there. IMO that period isn’t on Skinner, it’s on the team that came out tired and let the Cucks of all teams dictate the game to them.

Well let's hope that since he is in that he at least puts some players on their asses. Otherwise what's the point of having him around?

That’s the other part that bothers me, he’s supposed to be a blockhead, when has he last done blockhead things?

Emberson has been a far more effective physical presence than Brown has been. Can we clone him?

going to be one of those games

There is just so much noise around the Nucks right that the team unified in shutting out the voices around them. It must have been interesting to have Miller told shortly before the game he was being kept out for a trade only to be told after the pre game skate the deal fell a part due the Nucks owner blocking the trade.

ON the Ranger board the think they know 2/3 of the trade that WAS supposed to go to Vancouver.

Adam Sykora, Jaroslav Chmelar and a roster player. I can see why the owner stepped in

What’s the latest on miller?

My understanding is he’s on the way out? Nucks just trying to find a trade partner?

No but that’s not really the point.

Depriving this team of a skilled forward to dress a slow, terrible defender that struggles to make breakout passes is dumb as f***.

Yeah if they feel the need to get Brown in the lineup, it needs to be for Perry.

The team doesn't look good losing that much speed, losing shifts from both Stecher and Kapanen to fit Brown in.

I don't think we can absolve Skinner on this one either. Guy could make a stop. But more perplexing, and I think sometimes its a distraction for the team by now is how shitty Skinner is starting games. 3mins in its a routine pass across, not even what should be a dangerous play. But Skinner stumbles (nobody touched him) and Garland fortunately misses a wide open net. Everybody on both clubs see's that play. For the Oilers its FFS and for the opponent team it gives them confidence because they know with any finish Garland should've had a goal there because Skinner f***ed up again. That was about his first moment in the game where he had to do anything.

Then Skinner complains to the officials, to the heavens, that something caused him to stumble other than having weak ass mechanics.

Thats essentially how the game started and if we're remembering Skinner is generally shit against the Canucks.
