Have a good Saturday Hockey Night people hopefully with the Oilers destroying the Canucks. Board is really wonky, getting really difficult to use. Probably won't be able to post much until something gets rectified. Constant redirects anytime I click on anything here now. Redirecting to scam sites. Other people have commented on this problem as well. You'd think with a migration the board might work?

uBlock Orgin + a script blocker like uMatrix gets rid of all that stuff on desktop

Script blockers are a little fiddly until you whitelist/unblock features you want, but once it's all dialed in you'll never run into a popup or clickthrough redirect again. Also gets you through the paywall nonsense of trash tier corporate news sites like NYT(owner of the athletic)

That reminds me of a true NHL story. A guy by the name of Dino Ciccarelli who played for Minny back in the day was charged with indecent exposure after apparently carrying out his garbage in nothing but his gaunch, on trash pick up day, and some neighbour saw it and freaked and called the cops.

A few weeks later he was healthy scratched for a game, and the announcer said pre-game, "not dressing for the Stars, Dino Ciccarelli."

I'm sure it got some laughs in the crowd.

Another joke about Dino at that time was, when interviewed again, and asked if he'd like to be traded, he said
"No, I'd rather stick it out in Minnesota"!

I can see him doing what he would do last year. I remember that last game there in the RS. We had like 22 1st period shots and were killing them. Demko stoned us. Canucks scored like 1 or 2 goals on a few shots

Game went to sh** after that.

I was reading something about how Demko is using a different stance now than before (probably b/c of his injuries). The person said that is just a disaster to ty now.

I agree on both counts.
For the Oilers its been multiple games in multiple time zones in a relatively short period of time.
That kind of thing catches up to you.

I’ve never read anything about Gilmour‘s wife being involved in that matter, except that she was a part of hiring the 13 year old as their sitter. A cursory search suggests the same. As for Ciccarelli, this was only one of his indiscretions. He also was accused of sexual assault when a member of the Capitals. So yes, the allegations of deviance re Ciccarelli and Gilmour are much more the same than they are different. Anyway, this probably isn’t the place to hash this out. I’m out on this discussion.
