Favorite part is how that blast caught Lehtonen so off guard he went flying.

Stoll had a lot of gaffs on and off the ice, but I'll always remember him for this. Still gives me chills:

Such a weird year. He went from 20 goals in 10-11, to 6 goals in 11-12. Shooting% plummeted. Never would've thought he'd score that goal when the playoffs started. Penner, and even more crazy story.

So much happened in the Vancouver series.

Yeah, it's pretty inevitable. We'll do the same (double time) when Caps come to Staples Center in March. I'm sure they had one lined up for Williams; will have to do another for Richards.

Stoll deserves it. He spent seven seasons with the Kings and is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the club. It's almost imperative they do it, actually.

Richards will be in the AHL by then.

Apparently Quicks birthday game tonight. Handle this **** so he can party like he is supposed to.

It's also Ryan Suter's. So I'm sure he would like nothing better that to break the funk they are in for his birthday.

Put them both in the press box to exchange shots everytime the other team scores.
I would gladly start enroth if it meant Suter was off the ice.
Backup would be Ranford. haha

Are things really that bad with the Wild right now?

I know a couple people have already touched on this, but I'll add a little more.

This is either the third or fourth year in a row that we've had this winter slump where we go from one of the top teams in the league to just barely fighting for a playoff spot. Usually, after the slump is over, we go on a pretty good streak and end up squeaking in as the 7th or 8th seed (I'm sure you all know this).

Anyway, usually the slump has been in December and would be over by now, so we thought when we successfully made it through December, we were home free to make it in an even vie for home-ice advantage. The fact that it started so late hit us all like a ton of bricks. It also means that, depending on how long they free fall, there might not be enough time to squeak back in as a 7 or 8 seed.

On top of that, there was a post a bit ago that highlighted our slumping players that should be our best players. If I find it I'll come back here and post it. It's just downright sad at this point.

So it's creating a lot of negativity and pessimism, not just because of the streak itself, but because it's the same old story year after year, nothing has changed, and nothing will change until changes are made to the roster or coaching staff (or both).

Here is that post that shows the list of slumping players. This is from January 17th too, so it's gotten worse.

That's just brutal. We've had slumping lines over the years and seems like for the most part we can ever only have one going at a time. But that's over half the team.
But as has been pointed out the Kings like to be slump enders

Stoll scored last night...his first as a member of the Wild. Nice shot. Very quick release off a nice feed.

DS all set for new pairs. Doesn't like what he is seeing. Muzz-DD. AM-JMc. BMc-LS. The third pair will be slowwwwww, and won't last long.

The Vancouver series as a whole, and Stoll's goal(and of course Lewis's effort), are among the best moments in this championship era in both categories. Whatever negatives Stoll may have had a player, he's got that moment.

He was also the one trying to get in front of Crawford in OT.
