I was 15 and in high school when he made his debut. I'm now 32, married with a kid and another on the way.

Getts did have an earlier season game under Turk

Am I in the minority in thinking that Barron has been good in his recent call up? Hounding puck carriers and digging in corners. Not sure why he's out. I'd have him in over McKegg, who I also think has been decent on the 4th line for what he is.

There's no Hank appreciation thread going right now so you fools are gonna have to read this here.

As a kid I was lucky enough to just be getting into hockey to watch them win in 94. Mike Richter was my favorite player, and was until Hank came here.

I remember seeing his stats and thinking he's just your typical European goalie from a lower scoring league. I was expecting another meh player as we had seen for so many years during the dark ages. Little did I know how much he would change the Rangers.

In his first game, I remember thinking, there's something different here. He kinda looks legit. And it only got more legit from there. He made the Rangers legit, again. A feat that I'm not even sure the gods are capable of after so many years of mediocrity.

Tonight just feels so much different from the retirement nights of the 94 clan. This one just feels so much more real. It's a night that the majority of this board I think can truly feel and appreciate.

It hurts me that Hank never got the cup he deserved in 15 years. But I also got 15 years of meaningful hockey that I didn't think I would ever get again. And for that I will never forget. Thank you Hank.

I find he's been more willing to rush with the puck and does well with it - seems the physicality dropped off, but he still delivers the odd solid hit. Schneider and Lindgren could be a very physical pair.

This answers all the questions on why you need bigger defenseman.

Lindgren and fox are on the smaller side. They play a lot. This season with the Olympics there’s no time off and a condensed schedule.
