You know how people claim the NHL is biased towards certain teams? What would they do if a guy like Ken Daneyko officiated a game between Florida and NYI, which meant the Devils got into the playoffs over the Panthers? People would go ape.

I highly doubt any real prominent players would be interested. But there's plenty of guys who have NHL experience but on a limited basis (guys who have played 5-10 games or something) who are weeded out of the pro leagues and just leave the game all together. IF you get some of those guys who've played their whole lives, have playedh igh level puck, and need a job, it'd be a perfect fit.

I thought it worked pretty well with Paul Stewart...

Okay maybe I was wrong :laugh:

Could you imagine a player like Michel Petit...who practically played for every team in the league...as a ref???

I find it real interesting that 1 ref just wasn't enough. NHL brought in 2 so more could be seen. Instead it's now 2 who either don't see things or have imaginary things seen.
Maybe add 2 more so it can be 4 who miss calls or make bad ones.

lots of laying down on the ic for the stars - Brown barely touched that guy
