I have to admit the idea of a line centered by Vinny, with Carter on his wing, makes me giddy thinking about the reaction from Flyer fans if they are successful

Worried about Carter. He hasn't looked right, now this. He's a center, that is our strength. If he isn't 100% I wish he would sit until he gets there.

His minutes have been going up since he got here. In Anaheim he got 15+ while Carter was just around 17:30.

17+ for a forward is good minutes. Especially since I do not think Carter has been playing all that much on the PK lately.

That's still a minute below his average and consider that even takes a hit from him only playing :48 in that one game.
If you look through the game logs he has many games in the 19-20 minute range.

how much has his ES TOI dropped?

Don't really have time to look it up. But I would think maybe the St Louis game did something. He played 14 and change vs Toronto his first game back then went to 22 in the St. Louis game. He's since gone 13 and change then into the 17 area for the next 2 games.
Figuring TOI by strength is a pain on the NHL site. Where total is very easy to get just not by game.

Like the Richards for Simmonds & Schenn deal both teams won.
LA won cause they got two cups...Flyers won because the fans say so.

Seriously though I think both teams did win with both deals. Makes alot sense for both clubs.

Richards pretty much fizzled out but heck yeah I'll do that trade for Richards again and again and again two cups baby!

Both teams got what they needed. Flyers weren't winning a Cup though. Great trade for both teams.

Lehtonen is starting

I'd figure Ruff would have the marbles to start both in net.

With Dallas having a good offense and the kings 3rd periods and terrible Dallas d, I'm going to predict the kings lead 5-1 after two periods then win the game 5-4.

Your new lines, brought to you by Racoon Jesus's line-o-matic:

Carter-Toffoli-Kopitar
Shore-Lewis-Pearson
Andreoff-Gaborik-Lecavalier
King-Lucic-Brown

McBain-McNabb
Schenn-Doughty
Martinez-Muzzin

Well, that went about as terrible as possible

I asked Siri and got the same thing except she liked Lewis as the #1 Center.

Lecavalier has been one of our best players since coming here. Certainly our 2nd best center.

Vinny deserves a top 6 role, but you don't want to take Carter out of the top 6. Since Carter can play wing, you move him over to the right side to accommodate Lecavalier. It all makes perfect sense to me.

@DennisFTP: Non-regular scouts at DAL/LAK: TOR (2) MTL CBJ (2) DET TBL COL (2)....

CBJ has been scouting LAK a lot lately it seems. We don't play you guys the rest of the season... Hmmm..

Borque and Falk are on expiring contracts. I could see Borque more than Falk

I saw an interview where Vinny said he was fine with the 10 minutes he got in each of the first 2 games but was really working in the third game (~15 minutes). Of course, he hadn't played in awhile. Be interesting to see his TOI tonight.
