If Sutter doesn't change lines, he's stubborn. If Sutter changes lines, he's always changing lines. I don't get why people get so worked up over line combo's.

They were outscoring teams 6-5 in games earlier this season. Now they are getting outscored 7-6 in games in January. Had to happen, the balloon has popped. Kings better make the most of their chances tonight (something they haven't done in a number of recent games), otherwise it might not be pretty.

I got the feeling that he keeps lines the same as they are when the Kings are successful, and then he changes them up when they start to falter a bit.

I have been posting in here a long time and don't recall any posts like this. Sutter changes lines period to period sometimes shift to shift. Which is a big part of why players like King gets more mins then players like Pearson.

I know sutter has been stubborn but I agree I have not seen anyone every say that about him and his line combos

Like the Richards for Simmonds & Schenn deal both teams won.
LA won cause they got two cups...Flyers won because the fans say so.

Seriously though I think both teams did win with both deals. Makes alot sense for both clubs.

Vinny has been playing well so far but not sure he's already earned a bump to second line center.
Really makes you wonder if Carter isn't healthy. Not taking as many draws has already lead to that question being asked.

Well, if there's a time to experiment with line combos, the time is now. The Kings are going to be in the playoffs. As long as Sutter has his combos down and clicking before the end of the regular season, that's all that matters. In 2012 and 2014, if you check the stats, the scoring was very well distributed both times. Can he do it again in 2016? I hope so!

I think he's trying to get Carter going offensively again by giving him more freedom on the wing and worry less about being the 3rd guy up high

Plus, it gets Carter off the face-off circle which I'm sure will help in healing his wrist issues.

Carter's shots have looked pretty venomless lately as well. It must be a wrist or shoulder thing.

I've seen a handful of Dallas games this year, and to me their issue (when they struggle) is that putrid Defense corps(e) outside of Klingberg rather than the goalie tandem. I think Lehtonen especially is capable, but Niemi is passable as well. They'll have to settle on someone though for the playoffs.

Always like to see Oduya on the other team. Just a turnover machine when we've seen him in the playoffs.
