higgins not playing, maybe he felt something go wrong in the pre-skate?

Seems likely...but on a positive note:

No Higgins for #Canucks tonight, but says he hopes to play Monday vs CHI

True. I hope they take the same approach with Bieksa, at least during the regular season.

Totally agree. I know we haven't clinched yet but we are going to make the playoffs and will need these guys healthy. Heading into the first round with guys on nagging injuries isn't a recipe for success. Let them heal properly. It's not like they need the last few games under their belts for seasoning. If they aren't there by now they won't ever be.

It's nice to know he's close and also nice to know he's not pushing it. Do it right. I'm getting pretty excited, and of course nervous for the remaining games and playoffs.

Without Higgins expect: 22-33-14, 15-17-36, 21-25-9, 13-40-32

I'm on a diet and you make a GDT about pizza?? What kind of business is this? You come late for one, and now you talk about coupon???

*ahem*

Hoping for an exciting game tonight with a playoff atmosphere. Not sure we will come out on top though, especially with how desperate Detroit will come out. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised to see us blown right out, although I'm HOPING we show up and match their intensity.

I seriously rather see Lapierre over Ebbett at 3C, at least the guy hits and doesn't constantly get muscled off the puck. Ugh...

The coaching staff regained some of my faith by starting Schneider. Still want them all fired.

Same. Lappy is an NHL level talent who can play the NHL game. Ebbett has the heart but just doesn't have the ability/size to go along with it.

I wonder if AV's love for these AHlers has something to do with his own past. He never made it in the NHL and maybe has a soft spot for others like him.
