Blues vs Flames. No expectations. We are not a playoff team and we are missing big holes on the team.

Super tempted to write them off for their 1-3 stretch which they do not have margin to produce. But I am holding one very last sliver open in case they win three straight in regulation starting tonight. Lose any one of these next three games and I'm ready to call it over. That's how little margin there is

These Flames games probably decide our season. If we win both we are right in it, we lose both and were likely too far out to make up the ground. A split would leave us right where we are now in a state of limbo.

Who knows what happens but I would like to see Bolduc scoring goals

I have stated since early in the season that I would like to see Bolduc go down to the AHL and build up chemistry with Dvorsky and now Stenberg. All year long he has bounced in and out and all around the lineup without a defined role. It is one of the most frustrating things about this season for me. We are doing that kid a disservice.

He’s been on the 3rd line with relatively stable line mates for a while now…?

and Army said at the beginning of the year that he was going to be in the top 6 or be sent down. Playing with Sundqvist and Neighbours (who I don't see as a play driver at this point) isn't exactly putting him in a position to succeed.

If we have any hope of making the playoffs, we really need to go on a run and it needs to start tonight. Kinda weird we have back to back home games against Calgary, but the scheduling favors us. They played last night, so this is their second night of a B2B as well as their third game in four nights, and then Thursday will be their fourth game in six nights.

We have been off since Saturday night, so we should be well rested for these next two. We win both games I'd say we have a shot. We lose either one and I think it's time to really start thinking about how we want to maximize development of our young players for the rest of the season.

The Blues are 10-3 (77%) since the beginning of 2019 against Pacific division teams who are playing their second game of a back-to-back.

There's your completely useless SDQL Stat of the Day brought to you by Sharper Image.

Stenberg debut tomorrow? I know The Enstancling continues tomorrow, and Kelowna plays Spokane who just acquired Cristall from Stancl's line Spokane has both Catton and Cristall now. Will McIsaac (D, #18) our 2024 5th rounder will be in that one too
