Game 45/82 Blues Vs Flames 7PM CST FDSNMW

Neighbours is shorter and plays wing but he is the same age as David Backes was about a dozen games into his NHL career. Neighbours is already at 174 games. Backes had to grow into his physicality to match his style of play, which Neighbours also needs to. I think of Backes and Schenn as physical "bleed blue" captains who Neighbours evokes with his play. Just perspective for a player who needs his body to catch up with his battle a bit

We definitely looked more engaged tonight, hopefully we can continue stringing some wins together.

Having a 4th line that can actually play again is so nice.
I think Joseph can find a home on the 4th line. I think he has the potential to be a lot more effective than Walker as a forechecking forward and penalty killer. They should def give that trio we saw tonight a run of games together.

I like the Brendan Morrow comp a little better to be honest. They're much more similar in size, feistiness, and goal scoring prowess around the net.

So damn nice getting offence from the Bottom 6 and Defense when our top 6 can't score.

Sadly that has been too often lately, but a nice team win. Tucker is solidifying his spot as the 6D with his recent play, and Faksa has been solid all season long in his role. The only real mistake in the game was one of the forwards (either Saad or Buch) blowing their coverage and letting Bahl walk in alone from the point for their only goal.

For all the criticism Neighbours has received on this board for his supposedly poor defensive play, who did Monty have out on the ice during most of the last 2 minutes? Thomas, Buch and Neighbours, who came up with a big block late in the game. Nice effort from him as well.

Who are all these phantoms ripping on Jake?
