And replacing Danault, Staal, and Kotkaniemi with Dvorak. Those Habs lost three players.

A good team should still be a bubble team at worst if any one player is injured.
Minny were pacing to win the west, lost Kaprizov, went on track to miss the playoffs, and in the end are gonna finish WC1/2 mainly because Kaprizov and JEE came back. I would say healthy Minny is a good team; albeit old.

Even Tampa was middle of the pack in terms of playoff teams the year Kucherov was out, and they're the best team since the 70s Habs. Granted they don't really put full effort in during the regular season.

Habs did not lose 3 players. Staal was not a player. He was trash. Slower than l,aine but without any offensive ability.

I mean the wild team Lost Jonas Brodin, Jared Spurgeon and Jacob Middleton for 6-8 weeks during the season. They also lost Zuccarello, and for the same amount. They've had alot of injuries. It wasn't just one person

ok burned out
but they will be "not burned" if they make the playoffs??
Hopefully if Armia, Anderson & Heineken can get 4-5 days off before playoff start and rest of the regular starters can get limited TOI last game of the season and a couple of days off

Kaprizov is the one who mattered. He and Boldy are most of the offense like the Habs where the 1st line is 80% of the offense.

Habs’ fansided site suggested we trade for Isaac Howard. I’m intrigued.

Doesn’t look like the same guy.

Not sure I am keen on having small forwards like Caufield, Demidov and Howard in the top 6, unless Demidov and Howard turn into Kucherov or Kaprisov quality guy.

Sure, but he doesn’t play a heavy, gritty game and at some point we will need to add some in our top 6. It’s pretty soft right now.
So what? He’s not here to play a heavy gritty game. He’s here to supercharge the offensive play of this team, not go through walls. That’s what bottom 6 guys are for. Virtually no elite player is a “heavy” player as they’d risk injury. He’s a solid frame, won’t get pushed around and has 100 point potential. Why would you want him to toss his body around and get hurt?

Gotta wonder if KH will be able to find a market for Primeau this summer...

With how well he's played since going back to the A, you'd think at least 1-2 GMs with goalie issues would give up a late pick rather than wait till October to try to snag him off waivers.

Flyers in particular seems like good landing spots & Philly has a bunch of picks this year...

It looks like this offseason will be a seller's market as teams either want to improve, or retool and will be looking for the same thing(s) as the Habs

He mentioned KK, Danualt and Staal if i read the post right. The 3 you mentioned were big losses. Danault because they couldn't replace him.
We also lost Tatar, Perry, Gustafsson, Merrill, and basically Byron (who had hip surgery after the finals and retired after 27 games the following season)
