Today & tomorrow !!f*** the Habs!
Burridge and Kasper were the mighty mites, Kluzak played like what could have been, Neely roofing the breakaway over Roy to cement the series is right up there with the Flying Orr, Moe Lemay was a Hab killer and Reggie!, Reggie! Reggie! rang through the rafters. The jig was up for the Hab jinx. We finally beat the bastards!Ahead of the game, the Bruins will host a pregame ceremony to pay homage to one of the most iconic moments of the era – the breaking of the Montreal “jinx” on April 26, 1988. Between 1946 and 1987, the Bruins and Canadiens met in the Stanley Cup playoffs 18 times, with Montreal winning all 18 matchups. In 1988, the Bruins shifted the momentum with a 4-1 series win over Montreal, ending a 45-year drought. This marked the beginning of a phase during which Boston went on to win four out of the five subsequent playoff matches with their Original Six rival. The on-ice ceremony will be highlighted by special appearances from Bruins alumni from 1986-2000.
Beat Montreal finally in the playoffs & two trips to the finalsSaturday’s game is another of the “Centennial Season Era Nights,” with the franchise honoring players from its “New Blood, New Beginnings” era (1986-2000).
Those where good teams that went to finals. Te oil where just a juggernautBeat Montreal finally in the playoffs & two trips to the finals
However back in the day, most of the Habs fans in my neck of the woods were totally insufferable !!!Whilest I acknowledge that the Canadiens have to be good to be in the playoffs for the Bruins to be able to eliminate them, I just can’t bring myself to want any kind of success for them even if it leads to a failure down the road. The playoffs bring hope, and too many of my ursine brethren have had hopes and dreams dashed at the hands of Les Habitants.
Suffer, you f***ing assholes.*
Suffer.
*There are some very cool Habs fans I’ve met here. I’m specifically talking about the hockey team.
Shall I fix it?However back in the day, most of the Habs fans in my neck of the woods were totally insufferable !!!
