I expect the oilers to have a few 4 point players today. Podz and Brown should run Hartman into the glass.

That being said if the Oilers aren't going to show up tonight..they mind as well sit all our stars and play them tomorrow against the Aves. Lol

Optimism is great, but every time we start posting this kinda thing the Oilers lay an ostrich egg.

Whatever they are doing to Jeff Skinner is just getting crazy...

Like... did they not know who they signed?

This is what we lost Holloway for?

What are they doing on July 1st? Just collecting Pokémon?

I think it's an exercise in leaning on him to waive his NMC at this point.

You'd have to imagine that the conversation of "look he's not going to be in our lineup in the playoffs" has been had with his agent. If he still won't waive then sending him with a one way ticket to health scratch-ville is probably the only way to break the dam.

If we are actually doing what I described above - we should have a parade. Been waiting for the team to play hardball when needed for a long time.

the best part is Jackson even said he spent most of July 1st calling Skinners agent on updates and trying to get him to sign here. That is what he spent his day doing lol.

Clearly there was a disconnect between Jackson and Knoblauch that shouldn't have happened. Skinner played like five games in the top six to start the year and then was banished to the bottom six/press box for...being Jeff Skinner.

It's clear Knoblauch didn't like him from the start. That should've been apparent before we ever signed him since Skinner has a long track record and his style of play isn't a mystery. There's no way they actually thought they'd be able to mould him into a defensively responsible grinder.
