I don’t think worry is the right word. He’s not established so anything he’s giving us in terms of wins and solid goaltending is a bonus. If he’s legit. Great. If he’s a mirage, that’s why Dave Rittich is here.

He has not been good the past 5 games, but I think having the best start to a season in NHL history earns him the benefit of the doubt.

He literally just needs to be as good as the team in front of him. He has not been doing that in the past 5 games.

But the team in front of him hasn't been good lately...Hopefully his good play didn't subconsciously cause them to take their feet off the gas pedal...Actually this kind of grind it out (boring) playoff hockey at this time might be the wake up call they need... Either they adapt in the last dozen games or so or it'll be a short playoff...assuming of course they have the personell to handle that style of hockey.

I’m glad we got Ben Hutton as depth but Dubas and the Leafs really under invest in the blueline. So much thought and assets and experiments at forward. On defense they just scrapped the Lehtonen experiment and just rolled their usual 6 pack.
