Whether he contributes or not is irrelevant at this point. We needed our "Captain" when it mattered. Now the season is lost. It is apparent that whether he is contributing now or wasn't, the team needed him when it mattered. It's a sunk cost at this point, how people dont see this is beyond me. Who gives a **** if he scored 15 points in the last 14 games, the season is over.

 Keep BSing. The hole is getting deeper.

Quality rebuttal. Thanks for the attempt.

Anyone who reads your original post should be able to figure out that you were referring to Foligno in particular, and not making a statement about the presence of any particular player being irrelevant because the season is over.

Folks don't need me to point it out.

Andddddddd I am not denying that.....

Let me point it out to you for the umpteenth time.

Foligno has been relatively useless all season up until recently. At this point in the season, it is somewhat pointless to be happy that he has finally started to contribute. Therefore I really do not give a flying F that our Captain is on a 14 game point streak and he will not be playing tonight. In my mind there is nothing to truly salvage about this season except to play the young guys and develop them. That being said, I hope Foligno recovers well.

With a C on his chest or not this isnt ALL on Foligno.

Hockey is team sport, and good teams have players pick up slack when their stars or leaders are injured or are playing like ****. We thought we had a roster full of them.

But nobody stepped up and put the team on their back. It kind of what the FO was hoping Joey would do. But he didnt. Foligno didnt. Dubinksy didnt. Bob didnt. Nobody that just got paid, or wanted to get paid stepped up to make things happen. I feel like they just kept looking around the room at each other like WTF. Instead of someone stepping up.

So only the Captain is supposed to contribute when it matters? What about Bob? Or basically...the entire rest of the team?

This board is becoming very toxic. Why dump on Foligno in this thread? How about if we talk, instead, about the Jackets vs. Isles?

Man something about being a Jackets fan makes people just angry and quick to assumptions around here. (Here I am generalizing :naughty:)
Look, the whole team has been ******** the bed since October. Foligno being out isn't changing anything for this team right now. Like I have said countless times, his recent streak of points isn't going to make a difference either, although we could get worse. No, Foligno isn't the reason we suck, it just would have been nice to seen him repeat last year, I know for damn sure I am not the only one who hoped that.

I am offering a truce with you wild savages :sarcasm:

Make em remember. Not snipers, not talents, not stars. Simply hard working blue collars.
Go Jackets!

Game hasn't even started and the GDT is already a **** show. Well done chaps. The last couple of GDT have been entertaining and full of whiners. This one is looking promising.

Ugly would be an understatement so far. Their play seems to be trying to match how this GDT started.

First trip to Brooklyn will bring back memories of "Wait till next year".

For those other than Mayor and maybe pete & Bob that was the famous saying of Dodger fans every year after the Yankees beat them in the World Series.

and me. You're talking about the bums. The Boys of Summer and Leo.

Not sure where Jones was heading on that goal???

I was waiting for someone to indirectly blame him for the goal. From what I could see he wasn't even close to being the guy would might have prevented the goal.

Not blaming him...just wondering what he saw on the play. Looks like he was making a bee-line out of the zone and Strome got behind both him and Murray. I've liked what I've seen of him since the trade....just not sure what was going on there.
