Agreed to a point. Difference is sunny works. Saad is lazy out there. And lazy and unproductive is bad combination.
He had a five game stretch where he played well and wasn’t lazy nor unproductive. Sunny is just useless and brings down every winger he plays with. Though I agree both are dead weight.

Tough loss. We played pretty well all game. Their goalie outplayed ours, it's pretty much that simple.

Serious question - is Dvo really a worse option at 3C then Sunny at this point? Sunny literally has nothing left. He's been dust all year. I hesitate to rush Dvo, but honestly Sunny is neutering Neighbors and Bolduc.

Also - I said I'd give it a rest for a bit, and I think it's been a bit - but could we PLEASE trying playing our best playmaker with the kid who's got the best shot on the team? Please. PLEASE!

I'm not sure Bolduc really has the best shot on the team. Not sure where this narrative started, but I doubt he's definitively better than some of the veterans on the team. But I don't have a problem putting him with Thomas and Buch to see if he can catch fire. Bolduc had a few chances to bury one tonight but like the rest of the team, couldn't.

As for Dvo, I'd say doing the best thing for his development takes priority over trying to save this season. This team honestly doesn't deserve to make the playoffs. Despite the black hole that 3C is, I don't want to call him up before he's ready. But I get why you'd want to.

I thought Neighbours, Suter, Tucker, Broberg and Binnington played well in this game. Everyone else frustrated me. I guess the 4th line was decent as well.

The Schenn/Holloway/Kyrou line played extremely well. They just couldn't finish.

This is not a playoff team but rather a .500 one. I don't really have high expectations going into this season, but in the future, if our best forwards are Thomas, Kyrou, Buchnevich, and Holloway, then that's simply not good enough. Thomas is one of the best playmakers in the league, but we probably need at least one legit, elite forward in there.

That is why I want him gone. He can still play when he feels like it. Sunny I don’t get as mad at bc he can’t help it.

I think Armstrong is trying to prevent Dvorsky from getting 10 NHL games this year so his 3 years of the 887k cap hit doesn’t start until next year.

It’s just my opinion. Some of the talk about doing everything for the players development seems like bs to me.

Why would he do that but also go on record to say that he wants Snuggerud to come play for this team as soon as the Frozen Four is over? That would burn an entire year of his ELC for a few games. A while ago, Army was already asked about his stance on this and he stated something along the lines of "good players will get paid anyway." I think you're speculating quite a bit here.

Next year will be his last as a Blue. Then Dean or Stancl will come in and take his spot.

The bottom 6 is so painfully bad. I thought our depth was going to take a big step forward after the off-season. But Faksa is only a 4th line C, Toro just plainly doesn't look the same, Joseph has looked like the type of player it made sense for Ottawa to pay to move, and Texier has been very uninspiring. Walker hasn't looked great, but playable and I'm sure he would be doing better if he had anyone around him playing well. Saad is mostly cooked. Sunny is all the way cooked. I thought "There's no way these guys can be worse than Kevin Hayes" and yeah, some of them definitely are.

Possibly. But also, Dvorsky's development is very crucial to the Blues contending going forward. He's our biggest prospect since Thomas. His development should be tunnel-vision for Army, not dependent on the needs of a team that is a borderline playoff team this year. The Blues need him yesterday, but that shouldn't dictate when he gets the call.

Don’t wanna mess around with the NCAA guys
