Why would he do that but also go on record to say that he wants Snuggerud to come play for this team as soon as the Frozen Four is over? That would burn an entire year of his ELC for a few games. A while ago, Army was already asked about his stance on this and he stated something along the lines of "good players will get paid anyway." I think you're speculating quite a bit here.


Next year will be his last as a Blue. Then Dean or Stancl will come in and take his spot.

I don’t think his decision is universal for every player. I think he has less leverage with Snuggerud because he has the option of playing a senior year in college and skipping the Blues altogether.

Blues just couldn’t finish tonight.

There’s a couple little tweaks I would make, put Joseph in for Sunny and put Tex in for Toropchenko. Joseph at 3c isn’t ideal but neither is Sunny and at least Joseph has speed. After scoring 14 goals last year Torpo has been underwhelming for me so far, put Tex in there because he can skate and check but actually has some skill and can shoot and make a play. You need at least SOME offense from the 4th line. He was producing on the 4th line earlier too.

I think they should put Neighbors back with Thomas and Buch it makes that top line a little more dynamic.

The Schenn/Holloway/Kyrou line played extremely well. They just couldn't finish.

Well, with Snuggerud he risks losing rights to him, so he’s publicly trying to appease and highlight his path to the NHL. They need to get him under contract.

I don’t think Armstrong is being disingenuous about either guy, but the example of Snuggerud doesn’t really bear on Dvorsky. Dalibor just barely started playing against AHL competition and grown men. He isn’t being held out of a deserved NHL role.

And Snuggy is year older. Dvo will be in nhl by this time next year.
