BRUINS GDT GAME 44 7:08 PM - @ Tampa Bay - NESN, ESPN+, 98.5 WBZ-FM ( NO LIVE THREAD TONIGHT)

speed watched another game. This team is truly spineless.

I did however, receive two huge free lobsters, alive and aggressive on my doorstep from our mortgage broker. Dinner was sensational.

I hope Kastelic is OK really have to wonder what Sacco is thinking there putting Kastelic out for the last 34 seconds after the Brayden Point goal made it 4-1. It's not like it was the type of game where there were a lot of fights where you'd expect Tampa to start something up by 3 with 34 seconds left.

Does anybody like this new format??

I cannot change font size or style in preferences...or is it still a work in progress?
I never like when things here get changed, but change is inevitable.
Once the bugs get worked out, and we're used to it
it will change again. LOL, that's progress!

How about score some goals. Didn't they try to take the goalies head off last game? Worked out really well.
They may have. I haven’t been able to sit through a full game in a while so I’m not sure.

But asking them to score some goals feels like a literal mountain to climb right now

I vote shit at center ice. Oh, and next game is at Florida- perfect!!
I wouldn’t care if it was in Boston either. If they’re gonna suck this bad at doing the hockey then at least be funny about it

I was more wondering why he again took the goalie out with so much time left on the clock.

I was watching the game on Centre Ice so I had to endure listening to the Tampa Bay announcers. All those idiots on the main page here that kept blasting Edwards as the ultimate homer should watch these goofs in action. One of them stated at least 3 or 4 times that Lilleberg did not deserve anything more than 5 minutes for fighting and that he only raised his stick up in self-defense at a charging Kastelic. :amazed:
Watching the fight several times this is acually the truth, Lilleberg has the right to defend himself. You may also ask why Kastelic attacked him in the first place, the game was over and Lilleberg was just standing there.

I think Kastelic and Lilleberg had some bad blood from earlier in the game, and when TB put their top PP unit out with a two goal lead with only one minute remaining in the game just to rub salt in the B's wounds, frustration boiled over a bit and Kastelic went over to wish Lilleberg a Happy New Year

..regardless, Lilleberg didn't have to crosscheck him in the face

A BUNCH OF RANDOM THOUGHTS AT MIDNIGHT:

What are they going to do about it. They've been slapped around by both Florida teams with nary a whimper.
I had high expectations for this season, I thought that they took care of the toughness issues, and that with a few more moves they could bolster the
goal scoring.
I've been hard on Sweeney in the past but I thoughjt that he always had
his finger on the pulse and that he learned from his early mistakes.
I'm shocked really.
I thought that maybe more toughness would make more space for the
offense.
Last playoffs only Pasta had the balls to go after and fight Tkachuk, which was a crazy thing to do but nobody else stepped up.
This has become a team of imposters in the Spoked B.
Who are these guys?
They have none of the qualities of the team that wore these uni's
from 2008-2023.
This mess is depressing and disgraceful but I/we shouldn't be all that
surprised. All of those winning seasons need to be paid for and now
we're paying with interest, and we're going to be paying (with interest)
for the foreseeable future because that's the way it is when you
go for it every year and never truly worry about the future, just keep
paying out the nose for has beens.
Maybe yes we're spoiled but the shock of what we're witnessing
with a dead offense, a limp defense and a greedy goaltender to back them
up is beyond the pale.
There are no more hero's from the past era to save this management team,
these players, and those coaches.
I don't think that I've ever said "blow it up" and I'm not saying it now
but much more intelligent moves need to be made.
Does Sweeney have the wherewithal to make the right moves?
If they don't make the playoffs with Jacobs stay the course with DS
or do what they did in 2006 and rebuild?
This time, from what I can tell there is no Gorten to come in and
make 2 great signings, even if there were, they haven't the Cap $$$ to do it.
Lots need to be done.
They'll have to unload a big contract like McAvoy, Pasta, Lindholm, or Swayman to get some cap space

..and I'd love to see Tage Thompson in a B's jersey

Looks like a great finish coming up with the score tied at 24 - 24 with a minute remaining

As a B's fans for more than 50 years I have not been able to watch them without emotion, although it's getting harder and harder lately

I was watching ND game 100%. Listened to Bruins game on commute home and it was barely worth the data streaming to my phone in the car.

One quarter of ND footballl was more entertaining than every game combined by the Bruins this season. Everyone seems content to let this run its course and try to add someone in the summer. Ah well.

Also getting a little tired of hearing from these guys after a loss about how well they did certain things and how they have each other's backs in the room. I think too many years of winning has given these guys too much of a sense of entitlement.

I'd like to hear a little more about "not being good enough" , "needing to be better" and a greater sense of urgency. This is slipping away fast.

i honestly think they played pretty decent. Theyre just not a top roster and theyre not gonna win if they miss 3 empty nets a game and their pp is a net negative at this point

Well, he hasn’t been given a chance.
I don’t watch Providence but stat watching it’s makes no sense why he’s only been given 1 game.

Especially given how this season has gone so far
Stat watching, he's producing less than Patrick Brown and Vinni Lettieri and the same as Riley Tufte. The guy who really deserves a shot is Merkulov.

Looked like kastelic skated to over to start the whole thing which made the ending interesting

Things are so bad that I’m finally out on bringing in Kreider. I still feel like had we brought him in a month ago things would be much better right now.

It will be interesting to see what move or moves take place now. I mean, something’s got to give. Right?
