Hell baby
I'm glad Claude feels pretty dumb about scratching Colin Miller for Liles.

Better not do it again. It makes them far worse off. He's been one of the best Dman if not the best on the team in the last couple weeks IMO

Going to be hard for Spooner to put up numbers centering one guy with hands made of clay (Schaller), and another with hands made of stone (Nash).

It won't matter. He'll get ~12 minutes of ice time either way.

I kind of like Schaller. He has enough offensive chops to be able to hack it as a 3rd liner I think. Would slot Nash down to the 4th and try out a 3rd line of Schaller-Spoon-Czar though instead.

I'd try Blidh on the 3rd. Have him go out and create some space by banging bodies... at least Spooner and Czarnik have an idea what to do when the puck is on their stick unlike Nash.

I swear that guy still doesn't know which hand he's supposed to shoot with.

The bold

I dont mind the changes claude made today other than this-

Schaller-Spooner-Nash

Thats gross.

Schaller-Spooner-Czarnik OR Blidh-Spooner-Czarnik like you were implying.

Liles out. C miller in. Nice. Vatrano on Krejci-Backes line. Nice.

Those of you outside of New England will get Kenny Albert and Pierre McGuire doing the game tonight on NBCSN.

Those in Canada watching on SN might get Jack and Brick as Sportsnet doesn't like Pierre on their air since he works for TSN. There is no local TV in St Louis tonight just the NBC feed.

I like Schaller as well.

But would it kill Claude to leave Czarnik on Spooner's RW if Austin isn't going to be playing C. At least Czarnik can shoot the puck half-decent.

Doesn't matter really, it's only a matter of time before Blidh is back in Providence, and Austin Czarnik will join Colin Miller and Joe Morrow in the healthy scratch club.

It's obvious that is where this is headed. Claude Julien just can't help himself. You can add in all the young players you want, but slowly but surely the zero-zone veterans will push them out due to perceived defensive weaknesses, despite those veterans also having defensive weaknesses but offensive weaknesses as well.

Lol yes I am sure you are right Claude feels dumb using Liles over Miller. Now with Miller back in they won't lose again this year, he plays they win, just like they lose when the backup plays. Chiller the saviour, lol.

I mean, the guy has been the best defenseman on the team over the past few games and Liles- his replacement- ****ed it up in sudden death IIRC so....yeah that cost them a game

Also- yeah that's exactly what I said. He's the savior and they'll never lose again.

It was a dumb decision by Claude that probably cost them last game. Maybe bring some substance to the table next time you post instead of deliberately misconstruing my post.

Yup, agreed 100%. I also thought that Spoons and Czarnik were starting to show some chemistry before Vat's return. Schaller-Spoon-Czarnik would be a nice 3rd line I think.
