Many people on this board hate Wawa now. Crazy to see. Has a bad camp and all of a sudden he sucks. I'd like to see him called him and given another chance. He's producing well in the AHL.
And wasn’t he playing with Dach as well for some of these preseason games…

Also he’s third in the AHL in shots. Could have more goals with a bit more luck.

In hindsight they did the right choice with Heineman but Roy is the next guy.

There’s been a lot of speculation about his off ice behavior, I know nothing first hand but there are stories from people in his hometown

I'll take anything anyone says about Roy with a grain of salt unless I know for a fact they've actually watched almost all of his games in Laval.
The number of games he's been a complete no show in is concerning IMO.

It's kind of his game though isn't it? He's not a workhorse like Heineman where you get more consistency game/game. I'm not giving up on him yet. It could very well be his "potential" got to his head with expectations (fans are gullible to it too).

He was on a great track and really did fit well with Bedard at the WJC. We did have lots of reasons to like his track. It's very possible he is the type that needs to be away from Montreal. I bet you he still has good trade value

Chantal Machabée, who listens to BPM Sports and regularly texts in on the show to confirm or offer info regarding the Habs, texted the show to let them know that Heineman was alone when this happened, and they won't call anyone up.

Not sure if she meant for tonight's game or they won't call anyone up at all. Because for tonight, they probably don't have enough time to get someone to Salt Lake City in time (no direct flies). But maybe they'll call someone up for the Dallas game on Thursday.

This is what I'm expecting, someone will get the call tomorrow. Im expecting Beck.

I was thinking that if Newhook was going to be out, that it might have made more sense to go 11F-7D then play Pezz 4-5 minutes.
But now they might be forced to do so...and play Pezz 4-5 minutes.

Its not a question of hate, but the slow and painful realization that he doesn't have quite the upside so many here had hoped and expected.

If any player is called up, it should be Tuch, who is the only player in Laval that has anywhere close to the combination of skating, size and physicality that Heineman brings to the table.
That’s quite the early call. 27 points in 31 GP in a league were PPG is almost a ceiling… He’s also 3rd in shots.

I agree he’s quite slow but he makes up for it with IQ / positioning. He had very good 5v5 metrics last year in a limited sample…I don’t see why he couldn’t have a Toffoli like career.

My guess? Condotta. He's been their first call up before this year. But he's also more suited to play the role of Heineman in terms of forecheck and physicality. By the same token, they probably want to keep Beck in Laval continuing to play the key role he's been playing.

What's the ripple effects to taking the center Beck off of Laval?

We are looking to replace the LW with Heineman right? I bet you it's ABB that we call up.
I hope they goes for a better forechecker and more physical player honestly.

Not a bad idea even through he didn't even score a goal yet this year in Laval. I would try Tuch if they really want to keep Beck is Laval.

Maybe it's just me but I find it hilarious that the story broke on Reddit.
Do I have to go there for all my trade/trade rumor information now? :dunno:
