That’s quite the early call. 27 points in 31 GP in a league were PPG is almost a ceiling… He’s also 3rd in shots.

I agree he’s quite slow but he makes up for it with IQ / positioning. He had very good 5v5 metrics last year in a limited sample…I don’t see why he couldn’t have a Toffoli like career.

There isn't that many journalists following the teams on the roads now, too expensive. Add that the Habs travel a crazy amount this season and Salt Lake City is ultra boring. So the question is more: is there anyone there to cover the team on site.

This game is bittersweet...

I planned a mini-vacation with a friend to see the game in Utah. Started seeing this great woman in October and tentatively planned to go away with her instead, so I canceled my Utah plans. Then she broke up with me. No Utah. No woman. My life's a bad country song.

Sorry that happened.

Although, in the cruellest of ironies, there was a third option.

Make the the trip to Utah by yourself and start seeing 4 great women at the same time.

Sergachev is pretty big, so I don't see that happening for him either.

Sergachev isn't that good of a fighter and got absolutely mopped by Bennett, so i imagine he stays clear of Anderson and Xhekaj and probably targets Gallagher again

Perhaps they should call up Mailloux and let him play forward because it is becoming increasingly clear, at least to this observer, that there is little promise of him playing defence effectively in the NHL.

Pezz was a good tank boi but you don’t play him in a playoff chase.

He’s not a 4th liner. He’d be pretty useless there. Tuch might get a call. Honestly, I’d try Simmoneau. You’re giving up size but the guy is a badger.

If it was to replace someone in the top six I would call up Roy, but I think Davidson would be a better call up for Heineman. Hard for offensive guys like Roy to be effective playing 10-11 minutes a game, Davidson would likely be more effective as he brings more grit and energy while also chipping in some offence.

I hate the idea of just inserting any offensive player on the 4th line. It usually doesn’t work. My guess would be Tuch or Simmoneau. I know he’s small but he plays huge!

The hate on Pezz is ridiculous. The guy really isn’t that bad as a fill in on the 4th. If he played regularly, he’d be leading the team in hits. So he’s taken a penalty here and there. Big deal. It’s not like Dach or Gallagher hasn’t cost us goals with their penalties. Can they do better than Pezz? Of course. The hate is unfounded though.
