Man that was a tough watch. Men against boys. This team cannot make simple passes or even shoot properly. And they look lost again, just like under Monty.

1. Put any injured player they want to keep on IR and call up the kids and play out the season for a good pick while selling off parts.
2. Rotate minor piece(s) out for other minor piece(s) and see if things click.
3. Go for broke by trading one of Pasta, Mac, insert other core player for another star.
4. Add and try to squeak in the playoffs until you statistically can't.
Definitely a tough choice being completely honest except #3, I don't think that's the answer.

Carlin was great, but not my favorite.
He was an absolute rock star
in the mid 70s when stand up was far less the thing than it is today.If you miss Bill Hicks, go see a Dennis Leary show.

How bad does this team suck? Well, just about this bad. Basically generated no offense at all and were never in the game.
Poitras and Lysell? Don't see them fixing it either.
Now blowing it up probably gets you to be good again faster, but how many years of pain and suffering would you accept if you blow it up totally, because there will be many years of sucking bad if you trade away those three.
Clearly we are not winning the cup this year and we will have a hard time even making the playoffs so moving all the UFAs is certainly the best plan right now. You can move Marchand to a contender and then re-sign him next year if you want. If he wants. He'd definitely understand. He's a pro. Why not give him a cup run? He should get us a first back.
I wonder if Vancouver would have any interest still in Lindholm and/or Zadorov? Can Sweeney undo that mistake? I'd be fine with a dump of much of this roster for decent returns. Swayman included. I'd want a big return for Pasta or McAvoy but I'd take the phone call.

Was at this one. First and likely only live game of the season for me. Cool to see McDavid live, that's where the positives end for tonight lol.

Hopefully we can get some younger complimentary pieces that will fit better with the core of Pasta-McAvoy-Lindholm-Lindholm-Zadorov-Swayman that we have locked up long term.
Freddy can hopefully get a 2nd. Marchand maybe gets a 1st from a contender like how Foligno got a 1st for Columbus a couple years ago. Carlo could definitely get a late first+ decent prospect. Coyle could get a decent prospect. Take those assets and try to flip them for a a couple solid players at the draft.

The schedule now is tighter ( likely due to the 4 Nation Horsecrap Tournament) plus we are playing top notched teams.

If I knew for sure that blowing it up would land McKenna, then I would do it without hesitation.This group is not a true core because none of them are centres .Don't get me wrong I think these are the best players they have ( McAvoy Pastrnak Marchand) but it's not getting them where they need to go without a legit top centre.Making playoffs would be a feat.

Sure, but if you blow it up I'd say again, how many years of sucking would you accept? Look at the teams that tank like Chicago. Got Bedard, still suck. That's what we would be at best.

Well sucking is coming anyways so might as well get best talent they can .I could do a few yrs if they build it right .
@Alicat I don't want him traded BUT they can't afford to let him sign with somebody else and get nothing in return.
