Zub.

100% agree, he has been much better the last few games. A lot less mistakes defensively and very solid on breakouts. Weirdly enough it seems to coincide when he started playing with Matinpalo ... not sure if that is just the timing of it or the fit with him, but he seems much more confident out there.

He was apparently paired with Matinpalo all of last season in the AHL so that definitely is a big part of why they've looked solid as a pair.

Just finished watching. Boring game and basically out Isle’d the Isles. Love it. Team is starting to play with patience and poise on a much more regular basis. Levi providing the calmness in net is exactly what the team needed after Ullmark injury. Keep it up!

Looks like the Habs are going to win another one tonight.

Really seems like we might end up competing with them for the last WC spot, but wouldn't it be awesome if both got in somehow?

Ok, maybe just awesome for me being a Montrealer. :sarcasm:

Despite not really being a real Montrealer, I always found the city had an awesome buzz when the team was in the playoffs.

So while I’d never dare cheer for them, I’ll always appreciate how much fun everyone is having, even in my neck of the woods. A younger me would take full advantage of the packed bars too lol

That was a clinic from Jensen. He did everything imo. Broke up passes, skated well, had some jam

He had a vintage Karlsson shift in the third where he skated up for the breakaway, drew in two defenders, found someone to dish it to, then sprinted back the entire length of the ice, got in position, and still seemed to have gas left to cover.

Agreed. A couple of times he made outstanding offensive plays and then got right back into position. A really fine night for all the Sens D, but he shone for me.

Staios talked about it a bit when he interviewed on Coming in Hot.

It takes time for big defenders to find their game in the NHL.
That doesn't negate the fact that he was on an NHL trajectory since his sophomore year. All the skills were there and nothing along his path has ever suggested he wouldn't be a solid NHLer.

Taking it one step further, he will slowly evolve into a top 4 defensemen as well. Similar to how Marc Methot did.

So...

EVERYONE was good? I kinda agree with that tbh. All of our lines were effective.
Except for the scoresheet this was a very good game by the entire team. One or two weak points but they were highly effective defensively.

Really hope Chabot didn't wind up with a fractured orbital off that shot, he's had a hell of a rebound year for us so far.

He was bleeding from the mouth from what I saw on the replay they showed in the second intermission
