What did they do to kill Anthony's value?

Do you think they didn't try to move him before putting him on waivers? The fact that he cleared proves that no team had any interest in him.

Is that the Rangers fault or did the league know about his attitude problems?

I suppose they could've kept playing him, hoped he had a big year and boosted his value for an offseason trade but I trust the locker room had enough of his antics.

This isn't the first time a player has had issues in the NHL.... why is his crap going public?

There was no reason why his issues couldn't have been kept in house.

Obviously, Carolina had interest...

Gotta love goalies that play like quick and MAF. Just a lot of old school in them still. They’re endangered species

Not really. There's a process to building a championship team, there's a process where players get experience in tight games and playoff games.
Not all seasons are championshi[ or bust. Maybe of you're Colorado, or an aging team like Pittsburgh.

I think we are talking about the same thing though. I acknowledge their are steps along the way.

Still, at the end of the day, you are building for Cups. If you don't win a Cup or Cups at the end of a build, the whole thing is indeed a failure.

It went public when he was waived.

Do you think they didn't bother fielding trade offers before that?
