You can basically fire the entire 3rd and 4th lines into the sun at this point. I'm tired of all of them. Does Lawson Crouse do anything? Dudes like 6'4 215 pounds...hit someone if you are going to be an offensive black hole. O'Brien is god awful at hockey but at least he brings some energy.

I've said nothing all season. This game broke me. Irrational and uneducated takes are swirling in my head. I hate this team sometimes. Even when we win it feels like a miracle. When's the last time we dominated for 3 periods?

Also stop with trying to set up the perfect pass or play every freaking time you have the puck. Throw the puck on net, get to the crease and earn yourself a goal. If I have to watch another dog shit cross ice pass between 2 defenders that gets easily broken up I'm going to lose my mind

I'm back to feeling like a coaching change might be a good idea. Quenneville is still out there, isn't he? (Probably a pipe dream)

There's been talk of accountability with BA and AT. I think the biggest issue with accountability is on the ice with the players. Sloppy play, one of the most penalized teams in the league, a third line full of passengers most nights, inconsistent efforts... on and on. Every win does feel lucky. A big part of it may be watching the team shoot itself in the foot all the time. They look like they're trying to sabotage every game.

I think it's time to stop coddling these guys. Time to hold AT accountable for not holding the players accountable, IMO. Maybe it is time to sacrifice the coach and send a message.

Season is nearly over … middle of january!
Meaningful games….

Fire Armstrong and Tourigny now.
This one takes the same old coyote way like nearly every year.

They had their time, money and more picks we can count on.

This crap is terrible to watch.

I didn't think your team was as bad as y'all make it seem. I trust that it will take a couple of bad years to redress the team and wash off the desert stink.

The only thing I can say is to be patient. There's no way you can ever be as bad as the sabres.

Some bad years…. Like most of the other 20 before.

There is sometimes an important point in a franchise, a simple question.

Do you want to play succesfull, than you have to change things that doesnt work (watch the red wings streak).
If you are are proud enough to be part of the show, ok, thats called the coyotes way.

This rebuild has taken time enough. Guys like Keller will leave the show soon, they want to play playoff games in their career.

There is no team in sports history, fans where more patiened than these.
But you cant get a new bit fanbase, with the same old crap hockey.

Do something, now!

I realized that as the season goes on the other teams play with urgency as they are fighting for a playoff spot ..but we don’t .. we just play the same
Like that every year. It's going to be very interesting how this team plays the year out, and if there are meaningful games in March. The second wild card is starting to look like it may take a hot streak for Utah to get back in the mix.

We take lots of penalties because players are behind on their assignments and are cheating to a little to catch up. Part of this is coaching and accountability but I also think a part of it, in Bears defense, is a misconstructed team. While Cooley/Hayton might be a 1C/2C, they aren't right now. On D, we don't have a 1D or 2 defensemen that can shut down a top line.

We are a mismatched mix of players and it doesn't seem like we have a team identity. What are we focused on and what do we do well? When GMs bring in or draft players, the coach some times will play those players up a line or in more situations to appease the GM, some of that could be going on too.

Its a tough time of year, teams heading for playoffs, seems like more of the same to me this year. I know we have more young players coming and a few injuries, but we need to start seeing more progress at some point, our 2-9 stretch is unacceptable.

Crouse has been having a terrible year. That line last year was our best line many nights, this year just the opposite. McBain has almost twice the hits of Crouse.

Can you tell me how to "cut and paste?" Why do you guys bitch and moan when the team is on a losing streak, and then high five when they are on a winning streak. Let the season play out. Then we will have ammunition one way or another. Give BA, AT and the players some rope and let's see who hangs themselves. One thing I don't like is when BA is interviewed everything seems like roses. He's happy with everything. Maybe he knows something we don't. Speaking of penalties, Utah is third overall, I don't think it is behind the play as you suggest, rather being undisciplined at times. I wish the media would ask BA some tough questions, instead of asking how he likes Utah.

I don't know who all is buying into BA besides the fan boys on this board. BA says everything is great, Sergi is great, our young guys are great, Bear is great, we are happy with where we are at now and right on schedule. I am not buying it but like you say, the season isn't over yet.

Bill doesn't believe it's good, he just won't admit it. This is about as close as he comes when he says he's trying to swing.

Must be rumors of moving, that's what caused last season's tailspin.

Used to have Mullett Magic, now it's The Delta Disadvantage.

Still the country club of going through the hockey motions and passing that culture to the new guys.

What should BA do differently?

Again, I didn't start following the team until this offseason, but looking at the draft since he took over, at least in the first 2 rounds, he's done pretty well over all and there doesn't seem to be any big misses so far given their position.

He made some solid moves to rebuild the defense but the team has had some brutal injury luck. Having Durzi/Marino all year I think would have made a big difference.

Is Sergachev a super high end #1D? No, but he does a good job overall and those guys are impossibly difficult to acquire and so far it looks to have been a good trade.

My biggest gripe would be the overall roster construction and general lack of identity. I can see what the idea was so a lot of this is on the players under performing (3rd line specifically) but they lack a true #1C. Cooley is doing well overall but he's still 21 and Hayton seems to be a 3C at best so you really have limited C depth. Layer in the overall miserable performance of the 3rd line for most of the year and you can see why the team struggles. So yes, that's on BA but from what I've heard the 3rd line last year was dominate so why change it?

I'm not trying to be a big BA defender or say he's done everything right because at the end of the day the roster construction is on him, but I lay blame more at the feet of AT for the way the team has played. We constantly seem to come out flat, the line combos have made no sense at times, and the penalties are often lazy and undisciplined. We don't play with any real bite or physicallity except to match what other teams are doing to us which often leads to more undisciplined penalties. Despite the stats, the Power play is anemic at best and they can't seem to hold ANY zone time.

The new team/city and NHL in Utah has worn off for me. I'm invested and officially frustrated with this team and what feels like a lack of bringing their best night in and night out. That's a coaching/player issue. If you are going to make a change, it's at coach before you replace the GM and I'd be curious to see how the team would respond. I'm not saying it's time to make a change, you need to be patient given the injuries, but if you bring AT back next year and they struggle again you gotta make a move.

Oh and if Delta could figure out how to run a f***ing in arena expierence that would be great too. The players sing our praises, but as a season ticket holder the crowd feels quiet far too often. Last night you could finally feel the frustration coming out. The music is horrendous and they do so little to get the crowd fired up when it's quiet. Lot's of room for improvement there in my opinion. Great example was the Veggie Penalty shot save. Crowd starts a veggie chant but the DJ is playing some dumbass song at full volume that drowned everyone out and they are doing random crowd shots on the screen. Perfect change to put "Veg-y" on the big board and get the crowd chanting in unison.

I'll be stunned if BA does anything "meaningful" to improve the team at the TDL, we might be 10 points out of a playoff spot by then.

What's funny about that to me is: 12-15 years ago in that very vicinity I saw for the first time the SLC "crosswalk flags"... where we're now seeing those "push button for warning lights" crossings here all over AZ, they keep a basket of those red flags on either side of the road, and you're supposed to grab one and carry it across the street with you... and I had never seen one outside of Utah....

....until just 2-3 weeks ago, outside of Orlando, FL - this crosswalk in front of a library in Oviedo now has them:

I'm also thinking that a 'coaching' change is needed, because the team is good enough to make the playoffs or basically get 90pts and we're falling short of that goal.

Put it this way, I'm not confident that AT can get the team there

BA took over a a team with a .527 win percentage, 5 years later, this season, we are at .50 win percentage, I think there should be more progress by now. BA wasted the first year evaluating, didn't do anything, then he took a year to trade OEL, and almost 2 years to trade Chych. These decisions pushed the rebuild back by 18-24 months. If this was year 3 of the rebuild, we are on course, its not.

It's great that we have all this young talent developing but we also gave up, Geekie, Moser, Garland, Chych, DVO and Ghost. We gave up plenty of talent to get what we have today. Is the potential talent we have better, no doubt it is, how much better is up for debate.

Our play right now is not good, 2-9 last 11 games at a critical point in the year. Is it the players not performing, easy to blame them. Is it coaching, lots of penalties when guys are behind the play, line combinations, etc. Or, is it lack of talent and a misconstructed roster.

BA says we are exactly where we should be, we are young and still growing, we have had injuries. I am not so sure of that. I think it might be cover for BA just like it takes 8-10 years to build a championship contender. No other team would stand for a GM with 5 years in a row of no playoffs and a coach with 4 years in a row of no playoffs, they would both be fired.

I think the owner and team President need to take a hard look at the results and progress of the BA/Bear show this summer. I am mixed on both, the results so far are not in their favor, I don't think either is great and I don't think they are bad for sure either, lots of factors to look at in these decisions.

I wanna know why they 'suck' at home...just terrible at home
That’s what I don’t get.

For all the praising they give to the arena and fans you’d think they would have a bit more jump.

Or are they just taking too much for granted being at home?
