Let's see if they hang on to a playoff spot once they're at 82 games. The low number of regulation wins is concerning.

The four point gap between them and the third worst team in the Conference doesn't exactly instill confidence.

There's 39 games left for them to prove exactly what they are. Through 43 games, they've proven that they could float above water without Quick. Although I'd give Carter more of the credit for keeping this team in playoff contention.

I guess we should discount some of these other teams records too since some have been good in teh shootouts, or the Ducks 9 free points for LOSING in OT instead of winning, or the teams that have had 10 more home games than us and 3 fewer 3-in-4s, etc.

I'm more interested in staying alive in the playoff race with everything that's gone wrong with this team and the ****-tacular schedule. No one wants to acknowledge what's going right--which is mostly massively outplaying the competition DESPITE all those concerns. No reason to believe it won't get better when we get Kopitar fully healthy, TT back in the lineup, etc.

Well, there's no 3 on 3 OT in the playoffs.

So? Kings won in overtime. We can argue all we want about how they would do in 5 vs 5 OT, but the agenda of saying the Kings only have 12 regulation wins is hypocritical, considering other teams have won or lost in the shootout, which isn't in the playoffs either.

They've scored 71 goals at even strength (24th in the league), while giving up 70 at even strength (7th in the league).

Defensively they've been very good, offensively they've been very, very bad.

No argument to the bottom statement, but I'm pointing out that the constant implication that the Kings would be screwed without 3v3 OT is a fallacy. They're dominant in possession and a good GF% team 5v5 despite a slew of injuries and an unfavorable schedule, so it's ok to be positive about what happens when (if, I guess?) we get some health, schedule, and puck luck.
