GDT: Game 43/83 Blues @ Ducks 7PM CST FDSNMW Fowler 1000th Game Ceremony Edition

You know who is a too-slow skater who doesn't look as slow at the moment? Tyler Tucker. He has had a few good games, some of the best hockey we have seen from him. I do not think it is sustainable but at the very least he is holding Small Scott out which is a service in and of itself

From all accounts, he had been playing VERY well in Springfield before the call up. Maybe he’s just on a heater of good play, or he’s finally turned himself into a legitimate bottom pairing guy. We’ll find out soon enough.

He was a serviceable 3rd pair for use before this year. He started the season poorly, and everyone completely wrote him off. It was a bit weird. He is obviously a flawed D with his skating, but he has been a serviceable bottom pair before. Not sure why it's a surprise he was able to work on his issues from the start of the season and come back as a flawed but serviceable 6/7.

I don’t know what changed, but he looked great last night - made some plays that had me saying “ that’s Tucker?” Some offensive ability is seemingly coming out of nowhere, and he’s not skating like he has bricks in his skates.

Apparently he was only slow this year and not a pylon last year, and there's actual sarcasm saying so

LOL

He produced pretty well in both the OHL and AHL

True, I just mean at the NHL level. Maybe Montgomery has told him to loosen up a bit and to let his offensive instincts take over instead of always focusing on being a shut down guy.

Looks like you Escaped From L.A. right in the nick of time.

Yeaaaahhh I did. The whole situation going on there is insanely terrifying. We had a few bad ones in my decade there, but this one is by far the worst.

Thankfully my friends are okay(despite quite a few having to evacuate their homes), but some of their families have lost everything.

We specifically moved out of CA to PNW last summer due to fire danger. It is rainy dark and chilly most of the winter here but there is zero fire. It sucks to live with a to-go bag packed at the door most of the year
