I could easily see Edmonton losing in the second round this year. After what happened last summer, 2024 will probably be the deepest team they will have in the McDavid era.

That's what I'm expecting. Second round loss this season. After that it gets even worse as they try to figure out how to add depth, defense, and goaltending on a team with huge contracts handed out to so many players.

I fully believe the Blues slammed their Cup window shut last offseason.

Got back to Peoria about 30 minutes or so ago, and wow. What a game to pick as my first one back. The Blues have averaged 6 goals per game in my last 3 trips to the arena, so maybe I need to go more often.

The Fowler ceremony involving both teams was a nice touch.

Also, Kyrou, Holloway, and Thomas were awesome tonight. I can’t for the life of me understand how Edmonton let this kid go. I hope he hits 30 this year.

In regards to Holloway, it truly is baffling. I get they didn’t/probably couldn’t match Broberg, but they let Holloway get away just to turn around and sign Skinner and Arvidsson, who combined have 27 points (to Holloways 32)

And that's what you choose to focus on. He's actually contributed more offensively than Broberg since the beginning of December (8 points in 14 games compared to 5 in 17 for Bro) but I know only some players are allowed to be criticized around here.
