Not enough kudos given to Vlasic and what his leadership on the ice and in the room has brought to the team. It’s no wonder the Sharks are undefeated with him on the roster.

Here’s some advanced stats:

1. Vlasic has as many points as Celebrini, Eklund, Granlund, and Smith since he’s been back
2. The defense now has back to back game winning goals with Vlasic on the roster
3. Askarov putting up a combined 94.5% against two playoff teams with Vlasic’s help
4. Holding Point, Kucherov, Hedman, Meier, Mercer and Hamilton to a combined 0 points

His saltiness and Georgiev's saltiness cancel each other out and create a locker room cultural equilibrium.

No one’s taking Garbagiev not even for free
nope... waive him, then Bury his ass... Dont even play him for the cuda. Send him to the ECHL.... maybe he will refuse to report so the sharks dont have to pay him...

At this point, I'd rather have Romanov as backup. He's been OK with the cuda, so give him a shot until vanecek comes back. Carriere can carry the cuda load with aaron dell.

Georgiev should not play another game in teal. There are only two reasons to play him:

1. To raise his value at the deadline: sorry, this ship has sailed. He has negative value for sure.
2. To lose on purpose: as much as I am on board on the tank, losing on purpose is not cool. Losing after trading your best players for future assets is something I can live with, but losing on purpose is unprofessional and unacceptable.

So, frankly, he shouldnt play another game.

1-0 with my aunt in attendence.
2-0-1 with me in attendance this year.
2-0 with Vlasic this season.

Makes u think!

Seriously, that was an awesome, awesome first NHL game for someone to go to. After two periods, my aunt said "I was expecting it to be 5-0 based on what you told me to expect so I think we're doing well". With ten minutes left and a tie game, I warned her that the Sharks have had some pretty epic last-minute losses, only for the Sharks to totally flip the script and win with less than a minute left in regulation???

Just awesome. I love Askarov. Love the rookie line. Toffoli is awesome. Cheered my lungs out for Cody freaking Ceci. Thrun kinda rocks. Good shit.

You're a dead man.

I'm just stating facts. The Canucks are going to sign Bedard and Celebrini when they hit free agency, also having signed Celebrini's brother who they drafted and the other brother who they will draft in a few years, then they can trade for Luke and Jack Hughes and win 6 straight Stanley Cups with a core of Celebrini, Celebrini, Celebrini, Hughes, Hughes, Hughes, and Bedard who's upset because he doesn't have any hockey siblings and is the odd man out.

Obviously all the Vancouver players will want to play at home in Vancouver and the Hughes brothers will want to be reunited. Because it's just like all those Ontario guys who want to play for the Leafs and that totally happened and led Toronto to a modern dynasty, right?

 I love that it's just accepted Shark fan procedure to prepare for anguish and heartbreak. Some teams sell new fans on tales of past glory and the wonder of hope. Not team teal though. You go in eyes open that things can go badly at any given moment and suffering is the human condition

If they want to get rid of Georgiev, they can make an agreement on a loan with another AHL team but why worry while Vanecek is injured? They still need a warm body.
Sharks have only 4 games in the next 12 days so depending on Vani’s injury and the team’s intent a sane front office would only force us to endure Georgiev once in that span, either against Minnesota or Utah. If Vita still needs time the games beyond are against Columbus and The Islanders so at least they’re not world beaters.

Sharks fan: "hey, you wanna go to a hockey game?"

other person: "Sure, sounds like fun!"

Sharks fan: "Well......"
There's like a five minute disclaimer I give anyone I take to Sharks games not unlike the speed-muttered disclaimer at the end of every pharmaceutical drug commercial that has at least two V's, X's, Y's, or Z's in it.

"Watching Sharks hockey can result in mild indigestion, headaches, sore throats, blurry vision, bleeding ulcers, diarrhea, vomiting, heart attack, death, and in rare cases, fainting. Please ask your doctor if Sharks games are right for you."

I'm hoping Askarov gets the starts unless it's a back-to-back situation while he's up but I don't know what their idea is when Vanecek is healthy but I really don't care if Georgiev or Vanecek start when it's between them. It makes no real difference.

Just got home. First game attended since the Edmonton revenge game last season. Getting to see Celebrini score and Askarov do his thing, and some minor showboating during the three stars, were awesome.

Had the highest seats I've ever been in but still a good view and they were comfortable folding chairs with leg room and a nice support beam to lean against. I would sit there again.

He’s skating again, so he’s probably not far from returning
My preference would be to get a trade done to get rid of Vanecek or Georgiev but failing that or waiving one of them, I won't be surprised to see Askarov get sent down again. It should only have to be dealt with for another couple months.

SNOG announcement

Just caught up on the game, and also excited to see that we broke the SNOGless streak already.

Sharks 3-2

Lunds (3)
Meierx2

There was another prediction with that score, but it didn't count because the poster had made not just one, but two other predictions earlier in the thread which they didn't disavow.

Congrats @LadyStanley on your first SNOG of the season, and second ever SNOG since I've recorded them!
