GDT: Game 42: New York Rangers @ Vagus Golden Knights, 10pm ET, MSG

Lol...I thought the phrase "the wrong side of 30" was overblown...until I turned 30.

I was a gym rat and went running on a regular basis in my 20s. Right around 30 my spine basically said "That's it! No more!" Now I'm 40 and walking a mile each day around the neighborhood is considered a win.
I used to love doing calisthenics, ab work when i was in my 20’s. As I got older I came to dread body weight and cardio days. My legs can’t keep up with the rest of my body. Jumping is not fun. Could be my sole support or just my soul? 😂. Im much prefer strength training and cardio where I’m sitting.

I’m 38 and the only thing that doesn’t feel 27 is my left shoulder, which is torn to shreds. Physically and athletically I feel fine. Mentally, I just don’t have that same discipline I did when I was 25. I’d rather have fries than a side salad these days, and just be happy. I used to want abs more than happiness. Now I just want to stay in shape and live a balanced life. But I feel just fine.
As you continue to get older you will learn that passing on fries relates to you feeling good by eliminating sources of inflammation that are pretty much behind all your body aches and pains.

I’m really hopeful that with RFK Jr mandate to MAHA it will be easier to eat healthy in this country.

I'm 62 and have so much wrong I can't be bothered to put it in the screen in front of me or I would walk out and sit in the middle of the highway after seeing it . Very bad heart is the biggest problem . Oh...and I did witness a guy from NY who attended university here do exactly that as the school buses were running at 3 PM one afternoon....he was loaded to the gills and sitting in a chair on the center line . He used to tell us his dad was an FBI agent in NYC . His last name was Higgins . We saved him . Anyways...that is one story from 45 yrs ago....but a better one 2 days ago....I opened an envelope and inside was a check for 8000 bucks . It was from my insurance company for being claims free on my accident/disability policy . I guess when I took it out I checked a box...which likely cost me a bit more....and thus being claims free ...get it all back !!!! I had no idea SO...a good week so far despite opening it in front of my wife LOL...I gave her half of it . New golf clubs for me ! Take care guys and GO RANGERS GO !!!

In general I’m a pretty clean eater and I’m sure that’s part of the reason I’ve maintained good physical health approaching 39 years old. I’m a bit of a nutrition and fitness nerd and pay a lot of attention to what goes in my body. My favorite local haunt does their fries in beef tallow. What I meant was just that I don’t care nearly as much about my vanity at 40 than I did when I was in college and thought that having a six pack was the most important thing in life. I’m all about avoiding seed oils and GMO ingredients and pretty aware of how various nutrients impact hormone production, etc. But I used to compete in power lifting and body building and obsess over my macros and calories in/out and how I looked, whereas now I’m happy to just be fit and enjoying a meal with my family.

These guys are the next Rangers.

They're getting old and the underlying numbers slip every year. When they get into the playoffs, they're going to quickly run into teams that have the puck way more than they do.

The forward group is already old and injury prone and they're not developing anything.

So if Fil returns for the next game, then this guy Bo is going to end up back in the minors without playing a game.

I'm good with Berard going down. He doesn't play. Cuylle still doesn't play enough.

The ship has sailed on Cuylle, but keep everyone else away from here.

I know we do through coaches and the next guy is the same, but it's Drury's job to figure out what the issue is.

Bring all the kids back in when the problem is solved.

Bo Groo or whatever and Jimmy Vesey can watch from the bench. That seems to be what the open job is.

A public service announcement-

I think Vagus fans yelling “Knights” during the anthem has taken the prize for most annoying fans at a game. More so than when Rangers fans yell “Let’s Go Rangers” during the anthem. Will likely get both tonight so the cringe will be extra cringey.
Vegas has fans? Thought their rink is just filled with junket comps.
