oh well, Binnington had to make some of those saves. Last year Goaltending won us games, this year it;s been mediocore to bad. Not gonna win a lot of games with Mediocore to bad goaltending unless the rest of the team is as stacked as the 2022 Avs

I've never really disliked the Wild because they're largely irrelevant in NHL history. They literally never win anything.

What a ride of a season. Much more exciting team than i expected this season, really scoring under Monty which is great. Don't mind losing these backNforths as im still wanting the highest pick we're capable of.

It's fun because no matter what happens there's a positive spin to it. MIss the playoffs? Higher draft pick. Make the playoffs, playoff experience for our younger players.

Not going to win too many games with goaltending like that. Same thing with Hofer's 3rd period against the Blue Jackets.

Too many goalie losses lately. That said, I'm not overly concerned long term. The team has shown tangible improvement under Monty. They still haven't lost in regulation under Monty when the goalies have an .890 SV% or better. They were .871 or worse in 6 of our 7 regulation losses since the coaching changes. This team banks points when the goalies play well and I think this tandem is good enough to play well a bit more often than they have been.

On a single game basis, these games are frustrating. But I'm still largely liking what I've seen under Monty.

Criminal the Blues didn’t get a point in these past 2! Goaltending and the refs screwed up big time. They better wake up soon because the rest of the team (minus Faulk) is coming together big time

I know his WC was good with at least 3 points but he has been brutal this season outside the start. The last 2 weeks besides the outdoor game have been embarrassing

I can’t recall any primary assists tonight so he must have got lucky on the 2 assists. I do remember him loafing around on at least 2-3 MINN goals thou

EDIT: I just checked and Faulk has 2 assists and was still -3 on the game!!! With Thomas doing all the work on the PP goal and Faulk was out there for 4 goals against. He needs to be moved or sat.

Thomas was on the bench during the PPG. The pass was from Faulk to Kyrou and Kyrou ripped it.

Faulk need to be better, yes, but this loss was not Faulk's fault. Binner was f***ing terrible and allowing three goals he can not allow.

You can't run over the goaltender even if he's outside of the crease. Get a rulebook.

Technically that's true. But the further the goalie is out of the crease, the more likely that the refs will swallow their whistle. If you go back and watch the play, you can even see the ref saying that on the ice.

I’ve been calling for Faulk’s head for years. Just another pathetic game under his belt. Binnington is really pissing me off, check out the final page of the CBJ’s game day thread to see my opinion on him this season before this game by him

Faulk was awesome in the WC and has been putting up offense lately. Hopefully he's turned a corner and keeps it up. But he has been bad overall this year. It takes more than a few good games for a top 4 D to be a worthwhile player. You who constantly harps on Kyrou and consistency should realize that.

When is the last time I've "harped" on Kyrou? At the beginning of the year when he was inconsistent and scoring at a 25 goal pace, I said he needed to be better. Since he's been playing better I haven't criticized him at all. Nice to know you care though

Sure Faulk could play better but the whole "let's get rid of this guy" whenever he goes through a cold streak gets old. Faulk and Broberg were both out there for the same goals and I don't hear anyone harping on him. Several of them were just bad luck as I pointed out

many of you need to lower expectations. this is not a playoff team and they wont even be close to making it. the main reasons they will miss is poor goal scoring and special teams but the whole roster in general has issues. they cant win 3 games in a row.

faulk is clearly playing through injuries. but i'd have no problem trading him or pretty much anyone else except the 3 i mentioned before.

we need to get a top 5 pick and accumulate as much capital as we have for the draft. im tired of watching the same nonsense derail this franchise for a 3rd year in a row but thats the price you pay for bad contracts.
