Not going to win too many games with goaltending like that. Same thing with Hofer's 3rd period against the Blue Jackets.
Too many goalie losses lately. That said, I'm not overly concerned long term. The team has shown tangible improvement under Monty. They still haven't lost in regulation under Monty when the goalies have an .890 SV% or better. They were .871 or worse in 6 of our 7 regulation losses since the coaching changes. This team banks points when the goalies play well and I think this tandem is good enough to play well a bit more often than they have been.
On a single game basis, these games are frustrating. But I'm still largely liking what I've seen under Monty.
