Where did I say In this thread those things where said?

Do you guys sit around and try to catch verbatim posts? This place is getting insufferable most of the time.

Might be time for this old guy to retire

It is getting insufferable. Twitter is actually more polite than this place now. I love talking hockey and used to take comfort in the fact I could express an opinion and not get a sarcastic rude response back from someone even if they disagreed with me. Thinking of leaving.

You gotta just ignore the trolls and the unhinged. I'm all for a debate, I'm all for a good disagreement, but if someone puts words in your mouth or starts going off the rails you gotta just hit ignore and let it go. Life's too short, and there are still lots of quality posters on here to talk to and debate with.

Yes, I don't dislike Ullmark anywhere as much as Swayman.
His arrogant, cocky attitude, his not being concrned with
helping his employer as much as other goalies (who probably
can't stand him anyway). It seems like it was all a plan to
make excuses for his greedy demands.

I mean, Ully screwed the B's by not allowing a trade to L.A.
but the screwing that Swayman is giving them game in game out
for the next several years is the curse that keeps on giving.

I am holding out hope that this season is an anomaly, just the perfect
storm of things going wrong all at the same time.
But....
I'm no longer a Swayman fan either. I thought his holdout was ugly and his play this year uglier. His drop off is shocking. He's a sieve.

I use to be a big fan of his even back to his Maine days, but his all me attitude and him thinking he’s all that and a bag of chips, being good enough to set the salary table on the goalie market despite never being a full time keeper, and now his lack luster play, has made wish Sweeney would of dealt his @$$ and kept Linus.

Too late now, unfortunately. We have the benefit of hindsight. It was not good last year when management tried to deal Linus to LA. After that I think he was a goner because of hard feelings. Sweeney was basically telling him "Thanks for everything but we think Swayman has more upside."

I wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie Mac show well at 4 Nations, he looks like he is trying to do too much without talent around him lately.
It’s most likely true. Ever since he was put in as QB1 on the PP he is struggling. I think he believes he must put up points and it’s actually affecting his whole game. Mac to me is a great number 2 defenseman that would be more effective with a number 1 guy and the defensive leader back there to lean on.

"Just curious is the thread today being dedicating to everyone saying McAvoy sucks? And what a stud Lohrei he is?"

That's what you said.

Before he was 25, McAvoy was ranked 4th and 5th in Norris trophy voting in consecutive seasons.

That's a lot more than a great number 2 defenseman.

Saying this is all on McAvoy is similar to saying we don't score enough goals because Pasta isn't on pace for 60 so he has to go.

Lindholm is injured. Oesterle sucks. Wotherspoon is marginal NHL. Lohrei is green and error prone. Zadorov (although better lately) is inconsistent and Carlo seems to have lost his way. More importantly the forwards are often not doing their job and are turning over pucks. If McAvoy is responsible for anything it's making mistakes by trying to do too much to make up for all these other guys incompetency.

The team can't score and the goalie is mediocre and inconsistent that's the team's problem and I doubt there's a solution this year.

Chara wasn't with the Bruins in either of those two seasons.
Yeah didn’t know when Chara retired. But he was not running the PP as the QB. He hasn't been great this season and I think it’s because he is being asked to do too much. He just needs to focus on defense and transition play. Any points are a bonus. Being on the PP he is expected to provide more offense and I think it’s in his head now and affecting the rest of his game.

That may be true, but Dmen that make over $9 mil are expected to play on the power play and kill penalties. I don't think it's too much to ask of the guy. He should be in his prime.

I'm still thinking shaving his head would improve his game and the team.
