Carlo needs to be on a new team.

Everyone will hate any McAvoy trade so why bother. Just get a 2rd that you can give some pp time that pushes him.

I'd do what we did in 2010 and trade the deadwood for picks and cap space. Play the kids and improve the roster in the summer. We can still finish 8 and make a run.

It should be Sweeney's job to explore a max trade for #73. He is the only asset they can trade that has the capacity to retool the franchise. There are 31 other GM's and if you think they are all brainiacs I have swampland to sell you.

Hope it is our 3mil per season goalie in net. Not our our 8.25 mil per season goalie. It gives the team a better chance at a victory
When did Korpisalo last play ? I remember him being hung out to dry a lot but he could have played better. I don’t really have much faith in him either but if he plays well today give him the next start .

I see one post in this thread where someone says McAvoy sucks.

Don't see any saying Lohrei is a stud.
Where did I say In this thread those things where said?

Do you guys sit around and try to catch verbatim posts? This place is getting insufferable most of the time.

Might be time for this old guy to retire

I think Carlo’s injuries have caught up to him as others have said. Too bad. Making some very bad decisions, but many others did last night too. We just lost two games to teams ahead of us and one that won’t make the playoffs. Every night will be an adventure from here on in. I think we are a WC team at best. I turned on the US/Czech junior game last night. Both those teams have more speed than the Bruins. We are not a well constructed roster. Moved out the coach and now we see that didn’t make a difference for the most part. PP might be good………next season…….and it’s lack of such as cost us in some of these one goals games. I think they need to look at who they can move and for what prospect & draft choice wise. But we know that most likely they will try some all in strategy that won’t pan out. Can we beat FLA in a 7 game series? Nope. They are the marker.

Frederick and Carlo may get you something but not what is really needed.
Funny you bring these two up.
The Oilers.
They are one of if not are the lowest teams in hitting. Frederic will give them that at the very least.
Plus for a long time the Oilers have had a wet spot for Carlo.
The only way to get anything of value is to package them together.
It still might just be prospects or draft choices, but....

I’m not overly gloom and doom just yet, but I’m not exactly optimistic either. For me the third line is just a massive blackhole.

I’m sure there’s a reason that someone smarter than me can provide as to why, but I just can’t fathom how Poitras and Merkulov couldn’t give you more than you are getting with Frederic and Wahlstrom right now. At the very least they couldn’t be much worse.

Just seems like a season where the kids should be getting some minutes that the veterans are already doing nothing with. I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy, maybe there is more to it.

They also miss Lindholm, and nobody misses him more than Carlo. Lindholm is a guy who I feel gets overlooked, such a good player.

I doubt very much Carlo and his wife waive for Edmonton.

On paper the D should be good. Carlo and McAvoy have to start playing better.
That's asking a lot! Carlo hasn't been adaquet since his first concussion and Mc Avoy has been a shadow of himself since his injury. Add to this our true best Dman will be coming off a severe knee injury, so how effective is he gonna be? Not to mention the rest of the D that in last night's game failed to guard the net front on every goal! This is something my 10 year old grandson has been taught. I watched my grandson play last night and both teams together did not fall down or drop their sticks as many times as the Bruins did in the Leafs game! This team is extremely disheartening!

The B's do not have a lack of speed! Speed is generated by tape to tape passes while moving and this team has one player who can make and take a T to T pass! I'll leave that up to you who you believe that player to be.

They did come back in the game. That Osterwhatever kid buries that shot and it’s a different game. This team has too many third liners. They think the game a split second too slow. The last minutes of the game, I saw two defenseman passing the puck to each other three time waiting to force the puck to Pasta in a low percentage shot. Why aren’t they taking a shot on net and wait for a rebound. Shoot the puck. I swear, Bourque still could be better at the point than they are. f***, MacAvoy reminds me of Kaberle in 2011.

That Oesterle is a 32 year old AHLer. No wonder he shoots straight into the logo.

It is getting insufferable. Twitter is actually more polite than this place now. I love talking hockey and used to take comfort in the fact I could express an opinion and not get a sarcastic rude response back from someone even if they disagreed with me. Thinking of leaving.

In addition, for all the flaws in McAvoy's game he played 25 minutes. Zadorov 22. No other defenseman was even close to 20 minutes. That is not typical of any NHL defense let alone a playoff contender.

Sweeney.

It was exactly that. Another tough game for a goalie where the team itself played horribly. He deserves more games.

Relax guys. It’s an after effect of the team losing. The summer time is worse.😁

Ironically I feel one of the better passers on the team is Freddy.

Limiting his PP1 time would be a start.

If you leave the assholes win. Please keep that in mind when making your decision.

The Ignore function is your friend.

I hope you stay

Wow Edmonton is a lot closer to Colorado that Boston
Also Edmonton is a lot closer to winning a Cup that Boston.
Why The FCK wouldn't he waive?????????????
I am one of the last to say anything negative about Carlo, but if you were to trade him, I think Colorado, would be the place and he can take his goaltender with him. ..........the upside to that would the boost you would get in cap space.
