Don't worry, we also get Vegas's first overall pick this yearGonna be hard to draft Schaefer, when Askarov backstops us to a cup this year

I’ve noticed when the Sharks retrieve the puck in the neutral zone and then retreat to the top of their d-zone the d play patty-cake with each other and the forwards just stand in place at the opposing blue line with only one creating a passing lane. Only option then is to either hit the moving forward creating a lane - which our d can’t do that - or throw a hard pass to the stagnant forwards for a tip-in and then forecheck… more often than not the d just make an unforced turnover though lolSharks spend too much time in their own zone. It leads to turnovers and it just is dumb. If you're going to pass, it needs to go forward.
If I remember correctly he was traded for while Kelly hrudey was here and then traded for belfour. It seemed he always made his way back to the devils.I was thinking Jimmy Waite but wasn’t be part of the Terreri trade with the devils
Naw, they needed this win badly for their sanity and their self-esteem.I know everyone wants to tank, but that is the best win of the Sharks season. I expected a blow out, and got probably the best game of the year. Well done San Jose.
Yeah, the breakout system, I think, is to fly the zone looking for a stretch pass up the strong side boards, or a stretch up center ice to the weak side winger - also the center is going vertical often for a closer option. The idea i guess is to get the puck out of the zone quickly and try to get a chip off the stretch so it's deep, or if there's space, maybe someone can carry in cleanly.I’ve noticed when the Sharks retrieve the puck in the neutral zone and then retreat to the top of their d-zone the d play patty-cake with each other and the forwards just stand in place at the opposing blue line with only one creating a passing lane. Askarov is to Irbe as Georgiev is to Sarjeant.Askarov is to Nabby as Georgiev is to Myllys
I wore his pads one time. Guy had huge legs. And that goalie was Wade Flaherty ...

First time I've seen beanie dead last, but I thought he had an OK game so I guess we just played real good as a team?
I’ve been critical of this all season. The forwards have been atrocious at coming back and helping the D.I’ve noticed when the Sharks retrieve the puck in the neutral zone and then retreat to the top of their d-zone the d play patty-cake with each other and the forwards just stand in place at the opposing blue line with only one creating a passing lane. Of course I knew that Vlasic would have the second best score here and Celebrini the worst, that’s obviously how we thought this game would go.

Eternal love for Myllys from Finns for backstopping the Finnish national team to its first gold in 1995 World Championships. What, no love for Jarmo Myllys?
No. That's no one's nickname around these parts.BEANIE!
... That's Askarov's nickname, isn't it?

Came here to say the same, really insane. It's insanity that not only was Askarov not the #1 star of the game, he wasn't any of the stars
