That many D to D passes is symptomatic of an unorganized transition strategy. Where the f*** are the forwards ? Way too far.

Our D's take too much time to pass or our forwards leave too early , or a mix of both things. Anyway you can not generate anything with a transition game that slow.

Why do you say that? Zubrus was the kind of player coaches liked to have. That's why he stayed in New Jersey for so long, a team notorious for being tough on what they demand of players. Zubrus was a good hybrid of size, defensive acumen and strong on the cycle game, who could provide a bit of offense here and there.

I think Slafkovsky is more talented offensively, so he'd be a Zubrus+

Zubrus numbers were not that good and if Slaf has a similar career I would consider it a huge disappointment.
