Kind of tired of 6 shots on goal in the first. We're only going to average around 2 goals a game taking 20 or shots a game.

Apparently the refs ruled the Gallagher goal a good goal, in conference by the penalty area. The call was reversed by video review, correctly IMO.

Overall a good period...except for being out shot 12-6.At that rate 36-18 doesn't seem encouraging. I think when the Jackets are backchecking and involved defensively all over the ice is when they are at their best.
Just need to step up the 5v5 offense.

I wouldn't say it was a good period, other than the score. That was more of a good road period of Montreal than a good period for us. We had some good individual play, but we gave up too much and only got about 2-3 good chances.

At best we played even with them.

I would be on the players. We have a few passengers tonight.
