I mean, we still lose with Askarov in net, but it's more respectable...

Yeah I'm tired of the 4giev QQ. He is on this team, he is going to play. At least 50% of the games, maybe more. Askarov is clearly better and the future, but he is only 22 and I don't know, might be a good thing to not have him play the bulk of games with this defence in front of him.

Whether its intentional or not, he helps the tank. I understand the talk about culture and all, but 4-5 extra wins isn't going to install some winning culture here. We have been losers for a while now. That culture got us Celebrini. Hopefully it gets us another impact guy in the system next year and then we can start worrying about wins.

It's not so much a question about culture for me or even concern about intentional tanking. I just think at this point where you know for a fact that Askarov is the best goalie you have (and it's not close), why not see as much of him as you can versus NHL competition while you have him on the roster? He's not going to tire out if you split the starts where Georgiev gets every third start or so.

Now realistically, I know the Sharks are going to park him back in the AHL no matter how well he does, but at least he got tested by the best competition in the world before he goes back and you can really drill down on the things he needs to work on before going back to a level that he's quite honestly done with at this point.

No idea what Warsofsky sees in Kostin to keep giving him so many minutes. He's literally had one good game this entire season.
