WOOOO!!!!!

(Just finished watching the game)

So glad they won that game. Not least of which is the fact that I had to sit through the Sens broadcast. Those homers are close to the Jack Edwards level of commentary. Not one objective comment. I wish Sportsnet+ would go back to choose your own broadcast option.

Talbot looked pretty shaky for a while but held the fort for the rest of the game.

So much fun to watch games these days. Let's go for 6!
I was stuck with the TSN Sens Homer crew too...simply painful...

I agree. It's so awful that any time we play a Canadian team I HAVE to use their broadcast. The sens commentary is some of the worst in the business.

When was the last time we actually beat the sens? It feels like they've just had our number for years now. Hopefully Todd slaps them upside the head before this game.

Edit: looks like we've got 2 wins in the last 5 years. Something like 2-9-3. I really didn't want to go further back and start crying.

LETS MAKE IT 5 STRAIGHT! LFGW!!!

It's great that the Wings can keep it going. But you just hate to see it come at the expense of the Senat...

Yeah no. I can't even keep a straight face saying that. The tears just taste too damn good.

What's a computer?
Veleno with the huge tying goal.
7 points in last 11 games. He is the only one producing on the team other than big guns, and the only one producing 5 on 5.

Kasper, tarasenko and Rasmussen on the other hand, nothing.
ras n kas snake bit, tank hasnt been noticeable tho. Berggren with a couple big snipes.

happy tho veleno is producing.

Can you really be snakebit when you have no offensive skills?

I wasn’t able to watch the game tonight. Happy for the win but saw Ras played 9 and a half minutes. That’s the ice time he probably deserves but it’s frustrating when the Wings biggest player is Downy soft.

Seider had another good game aswell, he's completely rejuvenated.

Maybe I'm seeing what i want to see, but he's so much more active in the defensive zone and looks like he's acting more in instinct. Some really clutch pinches in the corner whenever a player hesitates and steps up on players to disrupt zone entries.

He's been so much more effective defensively and offensively since MC Todd took over.

On the Kasper 2x1, it was that fraction of a second that he took to stop the puck before shooting which allowed their goalie to reset. That comes with experience.

These refs are pathetic tonight. A hit from behind not called but yet that bs call on ed was called. Joke.
Looked at a couple of Sens comments which Youtube has inexplicably served to me, and they all complain about the refs and the penalties on that that "were not there." Oh well...

It fills like meter of time when Tarasenko starts producing, been playing much better lately. Kasper had some shifts on the first line. It should boost his confidence if he gets more time with Larkin and Raymond. What's wrong with Ras, he should be better

The Tkachuk brothers are a special breed of scum! Dunno what their parents did to them as kids but they both turned out into complete a-holes.

I think daddy was less of an a-hole.

Watched the highlights this morning. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the team's effort. No really "bad" penalties I remember, no "passengers" (that I could spot), they didn't get pushed around, didn't overreact. I thought the crowd was kindof listless through the first half but then they got into it too.

Thing is, I remembered whilst watching the highlights, I was never worried, even when the Sens scored. Man I love watching good hockey.

THIS is a game I could use to teach someone how to watch hockey.

AlJo is a gamer. He's got physical limitations in strength and speed, but he's fearless and pretty crafty. Helps him a ton to play with Ed, and Ed doesn't have to worry so much about partner brain farts. Hopefully Todd gives them a bit of a run together.
He is not at all fearless. He is very slow to go into the corners. That said, he did play well yesterday and has played better with each game since drawing in.

Team under McLellan not only look as though they’re having fun, but also a competent NHL caliber team.

No surprise that this team is doing well.
