I wouldn't have given up on pro hockey so easily if I'd known Blais could skate all night like he's in corn syrup and still log NHL minutes.
I don't know where else to put this thought but Laf's "happy to be here" demeanor is really annoying at this point lolChytil and Kakko are so far ahead of Laf at this point and look like players that we dare I say didn't ruin. Is it possible Laf is just a bust?
I think I figured out why I like Krav so much
He's very fundamentally sound. With his stick, body, positioning, he's always opting for the smart and efficient play. He doesn't really take risks but he also really really rarely makes a dumb decision. Being smart and efficient (along with his stickplay, which is def one of the better ones on the team) he just naturally causes good things to happen whether he has a point or not.
i.e. his entry and forecheck made Schneider's goal happen. him screening kochetkov made trochek's goal happen.
it's not that impressive and he's not as flashy or put together as I wish he was, but he's good at lots of little, basic things that this whole roster likes to overcomplicate.
He's really breaking out this season.
this Slafkovsky kid is not impressive at all
like a dumber and slower Lafreniere
They've flubbed a lot of chances and we've cleaned up rebounds wellHas Montreal only 11 shots on net ? Is that right ?
well yeah that was dumb but I'm pretty numb to dumb penalties from this org at this pointI get what you're saying but honestly, this is just so wrong after that dumb penalty he took lol.
wonder if Vacnouver are even still interested?I don't know where else to put this thought but Laf's "happy to be here" demeanor is really annoying at this point lol
I don't really think it matters but he's trending to be the worst 1st overall in 20+ years and every day is just another day. like ffs Chytil made one bad play last game and was still pissed at himself even after getting 1G 1A. again it's very whocaresy but it's something I notice
Blais is done. His skating speed is just not at NHL level, and it makes his style of game useless. There is no reason to keep dressing him. I'd rather dress Hajek as a forward. Blais is that bad.
Need to cut our losses.
he is still in the dog house.I was just about to ask is Laf even playing
Let's hope so. But I doubt it after scouting him for more than a game.wonder if Vacnouver are even still interested?
If you are a 3rd or 4th line wrecking ball, you better be a giant enforcer with good reach or a decent skater. And Blais is neither at the moment. He was the latter, but not anymore.Yeah, I’m thinking that the injury just did him in last year. He was never fleet of foot, but he can no longer keep up with the NHL game. He was effective in limited minutes before, now he is a replacement level nobody. I don’t think he will regain the speed. Unfortunate, but I definitely would not bring him back at his QO. If he wants to take a minimum contract to try and work his way back that’s a different story, but for his QO you can literally call up anyone to do what he does.
Exactly. I’ve noticed that too. He’s creating his own offense which is unexpectedWhat's impressive is of late he's been the driver on that offense he's been a part of. If I hadn't been watching games, I would had a snarky "automatic points from playing with Fox" comment.
