Samuel Montembeault has a 1-3-1 record against the Canucks with a 4.62 goals-against average and a .855 save percentage.

Thought I'd put that here.
That's fair, it is

But that's also during our 3 years at the bottom of the league when our team STUNK too
Vancouver for those 3 years were a MUCH better team than what they're showing this particular season as well

If Monty shits the bed TONIGHT, then I'll say you're onto something lol

Did you find him good in Chicago because I thought he was bad on two of those goals.
The thing about Team Vibe it works in many different ways.
We want to be in the mix Dobes has the hot hand the Lads could easily buy into that they just want to win.

I'm just having fun with it I already know Marty won't sit Sam.

I hope Slaf starts playing with some attitude. Team is right on the verge of a wildcard spot and the coach has no problem benching him if he plays like a passenger. I don't really mind the offensive game but the lack of compete and physicality is unacceptable when they are his top qualities.
He has responded before to limited TOI..............the kid has the tools to be much better.
Has to move his feet and he will be fine. I like when MSL holds them more accountable with benchings.............sends a message to everyone, and it's a good message.

Every coach has the ability, to control the TOI and they should. Maybe MSL is turning a bit of a corner in his development also....

I want to see Dobes in Prime view!
Curious Craig, is the game better with Prime?? I will be watching tonight, in Prime for the first time, curious if it's better coverage? Picture? Etc

Monty is beyond average most of the time. Yeah the team in front of him is not really good but still , he makes the dumbest play sometimes and it's like once a game.

I thought that in Columbus and again in Chicago the damn street is longer than I expected.
Those games were simply typical losses that happen. Tonight however is the first game after a long road trip which historically doesn't go well for the Habs. If they win tonight it will show me a level of leadership and maturity that is needed moving forward.

This is a big test to see if these guys are ready to win while being "in the mix".

It's much easier to win when there is no consequence in losing.

I've actually told 2 people at the office today 'Monty definitely let in 2 bad ones vs Chicago' lol

But, we're really acting like Dobes will never give up a bad goal EVER..?
People forget the kind of things and posts that were made about Carey on NIGHTLY basis..

'Hot hand' is a little debatable as well as Monty's wins vs Tampa and Vegas were absolutely nothing to sneeze at..
Plus Dobes may not be HURT hurt but BANGED up to say the least lol

As long as he plays at least once a week, he'll be just fine

I look at it differently...

Those are two teams you should feast on until you are good enough that you don't have to. :D

Dobes has let in bad goals in Laval, and he will one day in Montreal. Just so everyone is aware.
As long as it's not 4 before Marty calls a timeout, I will be happy.
Monty has been Really Good at times........Really Bad at times......and pretty average at times.
When he plays too much, he ends up having a huge stinkfest, and lets in too many in a short span of time, and usually in the 1st period.
