Dobes should be starting. I'd go with the hot hand
Not to mention the boost a HUGE ovation will give the team when he gets announced as the starter.

Sorry Monty... :eek3:

Win tonight and the Habs are in a WC spot – LOL! We hop over Ottawa and tie Pittsburgh, but have more wins.

I wouldn't bet on finishing in a playoff spot, but I'm definitely taking a screenshot of the standings for the brief magical time it lasts!
I keep playing with that Wild Card tab like it's a new toy.

This schedule is just dumb and shows no respect for the players and the fans.
3rd game in 4 days , a lot of miles and altitude changes.
It will be tough.

Peterson for Dach lol. Nothing like Monday morning drinks. Try Suzuki maybe.

What did Eichel return? There was no Suzuki bud. You're overlooking the point when Dach's name is mentioned. It's Dach++ type offer with very valuable futures on top.

Nobody is trading a Suzuki type. Someone they developed and on a value contract. Think about this again. M Tkachuk returned two players 30+ (pending UFA's) and a 1st.

Where is the Suzuki return from any of the 3 trades for players 24-26 with term? PK Subban, Eichel, M Tkachuk?

At 5v5 they dominate scoring chances (60-65% share). It’s under the radar because they can’t put it in. Very effective line, and a major reason we’re now a 50/50 team scoring chance wise. I’m really the only one who noticed Dvorak is a LOT better this year?

Historically the first game back after a long road trip is usually not a good game/effort.

No way with the 4 nations tournament coming up does MSL disrespect Montembeault. The last thing this team needs is a media fueled goalie controversy

Agreed. Lets be happy Dobes is showing his ability and lets ride both goalies without disrespecting Monty at the same time. Dobes as the starter this early is premature. Very premature.

I hope Dach has a hattrick in this game.

Dvorak is better but fans evaluate on points most of the time. It's annoying because those type of fans will never let the player be and will always jump on their back. In Montreal, you are either a hero or a zero... nothing in between most of the time.

Dach for Pettersson+ ? Yeah, I agree with that lol

I don't see why we can't acquire via the Eichel type offer. I do agree if it's a 1/1 or 2/1 trade where it's NHL assets, we are out. However, A Dach, 1st, and solid prospect is not an offer that warrants "no chance" narrative. Sorry
