3rd game in 4 nights and 6 games in 11 nights with travel every single time while visiting all the time zones.

Its also the dreaded first game back from road trip, and hughes might suit up too?

I don't have a good feeling about this one. On a different day, I'd love to play Vancouver but on this particular day, there's too many red flags.

If Laine is playing:

Caufield-Suzuki-Heineman
Laine-Dach-Slafkovsky
Anderson-Evans-Gallagher
Newhook-Dvorak-Armia

If not, play pezzetta on Dvorak's line and put newhook with Dach/Slaf. Heineman deserves this shot as well, but he's also the kind of winger they need to support the Cole/Nick duo. Slafkovsky can play on the 2nd line for a bit no biggie

Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher untouchable IMO. To a point if I’m KH and they keep this level of play/consistency until march I’m considering extending Dvo 2 years if he cuts down his salary in half.

Win tonight and the Habs are in a WC spot – LOL! We hop over Ottawa and tie Pittsburgh, but have more wins.

I wouldn't bet on finishing in a playoff spot, but I'm definitely taking a screenshot of the standings for the brief magical time it lasts!

Lets face it, A lot of us are too scared or chicken to predict playoffs (me including lol). I guess it's best to enjoy the ride and stay humble. Let the team show us what they are made of.

I say we make it on the last game. Montembault gets hurt after we are 1-3 behind in a series vs the Leafs. Dobes gets in net and becomes a Cam Ward

Yeah…..respectfully, I’m more than ready to move on from Dvo. I’d rather watch Owen Beck make the same mistakes Dvo makes with regularity.

I agree they are playing well and should stay together, however, Dvo should be moved for whatever come deadline time.

If he is not, Evan’s didn’t look out place few shifts he got with Suzuki. Slaf can play 4th line or sit for Pezz.

Yeah, no kidding. I get a kick when people talk about professional athletes in a peak of human physical form being tired from travel or playing 20 minutes every second night.

Well, sometimes they are playing against are other profession athletes in peak physical form who didn't do that.

Tiredness can also be mental and depending on a person being able to sit at home, spend time with family, visit the gym at exact same time every day or meet a friend might just be essential for them to relax and avoid some degree of fatigue.

None of that should affect the play more than at the margins, but I can definitely see how it's a factor. Of course, being well past 40 years old and in zero physical form, I get destroyed even by a 3 hour flight..

Need much better than .500 to make da playoffs. Someone pointed they were 10-5 in the last 15 games. That needs to continue until April. Lessgo!!!
The teams fighting for WC2 in the East are pretty much all .500 teams right now outside of Ottawa (who's cruising back to it so far).

Only Habs, Ottawa, Pens have been playing for >.500 since December. That's pretty much the 3 teams fighting for the last PO spot with Habs/Ottawa having the better record.

Well, in this case, it's less than every 2nd night for past 6 games dealing with all the time zones in between, plus all those games involved travel.

The reason we need to speak of it is because the win loss record for teams playing condensed portions of their schedule typically takes a relative hit when they play against teams that are not playing as condensed portion of their schedule.

Teams generally tend to struggle first game back home as well.

At the end of the day, we all know that the 82 game regular season is an insane demand for even these peak athletes, but we also know that physical limits are not what drives the season length. It's all about the Benjamins.

Let’s see what Slaf is made of, he was benched and clearly pissed.

Channel that energy on the ice to go beast mode kid.
I’m expecting the usual. Step behind the plays, handful of giveaways, fan on a couple shot attempts or get stick checked before he gets the puck off his stick, take a solid hit with his head down, maybe collect a secondary assist (primary if we’re lucky and Caufield / Suzuki / Laine? snipes one).

(I really hope he makes me eat crow lol)
