Hate watching this team work soooo hard to create scoring opportunities that they can't capitalize on for whatever reason while other teams just float pucks in on us. Watching other teams around the league, it's insane, they can just bank pucks off three dudes and in while their goalies are putting up .940. Meanwhile, we can't score in 4 periods and our goalies can't stop anything.

I have to think at some point the luck breaks our way, but it's getting late enough in the season that maybe not.

Running out of time to put it all together.

I think the Kings need to clean house on coaching this off-season. It's just not working anymore.

I've been on this bandwagon for a bit. Players are just going through the motions and our team identity has been totally diluted.

We had the Wild hemmed in for a bit in that first period, and the 2012 Kings would have ground them to a paste with hits--instead, even our 'big' players were just doing flybys. So, we're not even a really tenacious forechecking team even when the opportunity is perfect for it.

We're not skilled enough to out-skill anyone, and we're getting away from our initial successful identity now, what's the point exactly?

Kings should not have paid tribute to the Miracle on Manchester guys.
Now the players want to duplicate that feat.
. Step one: give up a big lead early.
They will work on step two later

Time moved by our slow plodding system 2 years ago and Sutter and staff seem to have no idea how to evolve. DL is as much to blame with his love for grinders.

That bad huh. Sigh....another game I'll be missing.

They definitely had a bad start again but took over the game after that. "Took over" is obviously relative since they couldn't find a way to get the puck behind the backup goalie again

Uphill battle though against a team content to sit back.

Blaming the coach is like blaming the refs to me. It comes down to the players. They're not executing. I can't imagine Sutter tells them to not go to the net, or get their shots blocked.

There's no upside to the roster anymore. They're all older and overpaid now. What is firing Sutter going to do to Brown or Gaborik? Where is the trade to improve the team coming from?

They're tapped out. Kopitar, Brown, Gaborik, Carter, Doughty, Muzzin, Quick, soon to be Toffoli. It's those guys, and the Setoguchi's of the world in free agency. That's what they're going to have for a while. Lombardi couldn't even get Lucic at 50% anymore because of all these other contracts.

Everyone needs to get down on their knees and pray to whatever God they worship and offer thanks for the night the parents of Jeff Carter had sex and created this fine young man.

I guess Carter is the only guy not listening to Sutter. You would think he'd sit on the bench because of that, since coaches don't like to not be listened to.

Granlund holds Muzzin's stick for at least 7 seconds, no call, change of possession. Unbelievable what this team has to do to get another team penalized. That after the high stick on Kopitar's face in the 1st.

Well, was just complaining about bounces from the hockey gods evening out, there we go  great slice through by Gabby
