We just play stupid against the Hawks. Its like they try and play outside their game and not the way they should play.

Eh I just think he doesn't put enough effort. You can tell by how slowly he moves his feet at times if he's in the game or not.

I don't think it's effort, I just think he is a poor defensive player at 5 on 5. He gets overpowered by bigger centers and makes terrible reads in the defensive zone.

You can't ignore the goals against numbers, you just can't.

And he looks so below average when he's not paired with Doughty. Muzzin and Greene have been disastrous. Martinez should be with Greene and Muzzin needs Doughty.

The Blackhawks are on another level. The Kings aren't even close to that good even at their best.

The difference is, The Hawks have all good passing defenseman on their roster, and their wingers are usually high in the neutral zone, plus they're fast and talented.

We have three slow defensive defenseman, and they aren't good passers.

We won't win the Hawks until our defense passes better and our offense gets more talented.

I wonder if Sutter evens scouts the hawks. Other teams find ways to beat them, but the Kings just can't seem to figure things out. Until they do, they'll be second to them.

Pretty much this. I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that they're just a better team. Our slow, methodical system has to be literally perfect to beat them, otherwise one mistake and bam, goal against.

But you can't play like that for 60 minutes, not against this team. Eventually you are going to make a mistake and their roster is so loaded they are going to make you pay.

Their lineup is just to fast and skilled for our team over a 7 game series.

They have guys like Versteeg and Saad where we have Lewis and Clifford. If Lombardi is serious about competing with this team he needs to add a 30 goal left wing, and even then, that's just to get back in the game.
