It was and still is. Kane isn't worth that much. You're talking about giving up a top 6 forward and a top 4 defenseman and a first, for a good winger. The Kings didn't give that much up for Carter, and Carter is twice the player Kane is.

Do you even watch Kane play? He's on a **** team. How do you expect a player to light up the league when his team is ****.

Even if it's an overpayment, you're getting a younger player and a left winger.
That's a good trade for both teams. Kane is a work horse and he's talented, fast and big. That's the kings MO

With the exception of that one play by Richards, I'm not unhappy at all with the way the Kings are playing tonight. This is the type of game they will have to play to beat Chicago.

Unless you think trading Williams or Toffoli with a package is a better idea then sure.

They are not going to give up Kane unless someone young and talented is coming back , that would Slava/Vey or Slava/Pearson plus picks . That would at least get the talk started but Winn would want more added.

It would be a lot easier to beat them with two skilled players in and two of Clifford, Fraser or Lewis not playing.

I'm still amazed just how bad Clifford is, I mean, to me he barely looks like an NHL player. Really disappointing that Clifford has flopped as a player, showed so much promise as a rookie and the Kings have waited to long to get anything significant back in a trade.

I was about to say the same thing. And how the hell did the Blues put up 5 on this guy? Make me wonder again if Sutter even watches game tape at all.

That is a franchise changing trade , they are not going to pull the trigger on it with guys on the back end of their career coming back the other way.

LOL. When did Greene become a top 4 DMAN? Also, Brown has negative value with his contract. With the amount of damage he has taken he will start going down hill fast. And he's absolutely awful at the moment. He's a top 6 winger by default only. The first rounder is a very late first rounder. Kane is amazing.
