Also,

The NHL needs to do a better job defining what constitutes slashing when it comes to players slashing each other's sticks.

I thought it has become slashing was only a penalty when you broke a guys stick (which is kinda stupid) and yet Tree gets one for a guy dropping his stick....

How about we just call slashing when you hit a guys body. Everytime. Problem solved. No objectivity required.

One can dream.

Pred Kahun slashes a Cane's stick hard and breaks his own stick. No penalty. Kahun goes to the bench and comes back to the net unmarked. He scores the double OT goal. Crazy.
