Ok if you think that can still happen. I do not think lightening will strike twice but who knows.

It's definitely an underdog to happen. We're about a 4:1 underdog to win. Would you cash out your life savings, your crypto, and your gold teeth to put it all on the Oilers to win right now at -400? I'm guessing not, cause you'd rightly realize that 20% is a big number :)

Remember, you're not betting on lightning striking twice: you're betting on lightning striking once.

Winter is Coming
Oilers are McDavid and Draisaitl. That is their team. Nobody else does anything. Comparing Ehlers to McDavid is stupid... Jets are a better built team. Ourscoring is spread out. We don't have a generational talent... They do. McD or Drai do nothing.. they lose. Our top guys don't show up. Toninato and Poolman do.

Is there a reason SN is so biased towards the Oilers? Is it because McDavid is Canadian and they want him to get his cups? Or is there shared ownership between SN and Oilers? What's the deal?

Connor McDavid and Edmonton is a Rogers partner while Winnipeg is a TSN one. The Senators get a similar experience for the most part.

The one sidedness is ridiculous already

This is why games on back to back nights should be permanently banned in the playoffs. It literally caused two of the three Oilers goals from Jets brain farts.

Also,

The NHL needs to do a better job defining what constitutes slashing when it comes to players slashing each other's sticks.

I thought it has become slashing was only a penalty when you broke a guys stick (which is kinda stupid) and yet Tree gets one for a guy dropping his stick....

How about we just call slashing when you hit a guys body. Everytime. Problem solved. No objectivity required.

One can dream.

My guess is because McDavid is Canadian playing for a Canadian team

If you think Ehlers is playing well enough and his play is equal to the other top tier players this game then good.
McDavid 17:36 mins TOI after two periods
Ehlers 9:22 mins TOI.

He hasn't really been able to get into a rhythm because he's spent 3/4 of the game on the bench. He's still had a few decent moments, although not as strong so far as game 3.

I mean another comeback tonight is highly unlikely given the sloppy play, the Oilers getting some puck luck and refs on a penalty parade.

I can see why Singh and co get so excited when McDrai is on the ice now.

They signed up to comment on NHL hockey and probably feel a bit cheated when they have to watch a bunch of borderline NHLers play uninteresting, time wasting hockey.

It's ridiculous how McDavid and Draisaitl are able to mask the Oilers total lack of depth.
