For the love of god split up Matthews and Marner - how many f***ing playoff losses does it take to realize they don't mesh well together for playoff hockey

Maybe that pairing will be so bad that on like a spectrum they’d loop around to good?

Idk man I don’t know what else to say. I might’ve reunited Brodie Rielly but our dpairs are so f***ed because our 2nd AND 3rd best defencemen are struggling TOGETHER.

a few years ago this quote would’ve gotten me inspired and ready to fully BeLeaf. That last couple years have worn me down, I just can’t see it.

That nylander quote especially, it SOUNDS like a quote of a winner. Someone who will go out there and do it, but we know his talent level, coupled with the baggage that is Tavares….and yea I can’t see it.

Yeah not just them, but McCabe has been worse than Brodie and dragging him down. Giordano and Holl have been straight garbage. I thought this was why we got all that depth at the deadline? The logical thing would be to try Gustafsson-Brodie and McCabe-Liljegren although unfortunately Liljegren has also been terrible recently, but at least he has some potential offensive upside unlike Holl.

Leafs will prob win 3 games in convincing fashion only to lay another egg in game 7, no show top 4 and end up losing in Overtime after blowing a late third period lead.

Sheldon Keefe is definitely going out with the guys he's put his trust in. Kerfoot in the top six and Holl in the top-4 on the shutdown pairing. To be honest this makes it pretty easy to fire him, Holl and Kerfoot are players this team has shown a lot of faith in for a long time, Keefe is the one playing them up the lineup. If they lose with Keefe's horses in prime positions in embarrassing fashion, like a sweep to the #8 seed, then he should be fired.
